They're about the same as far as like a tensile strength, but magnesium is a softer metal, and cannot withstand grinding and such as much.
2.4 FAFs are a touch wider than the momentums, but not as tall. The sidewalls of the momentum are very thin and don't hold up to grinding. If you ride park, momentums, If you ride street at all, FAFs

I really want it totally murdered... I have owned and ridden every color of FAF and found out this - whitewalls get dirty very quick, tanwalls look great, and dont get as dirty looking, but the sidewalls wear out faster, the red is quite dingy looking ... more »
I love them man, but as a heads up...if you get them, you have to run wide tires because the rims are VERY wide.
