Reply to Can't find a full chromoly in my size. 10/14/2020 1:48 PM

I just surfed through the inventory at DansComp and didn’t see anything that is both full chromoly, AND comes with a 20.0” top tube. It looks like everything that is full chromoly has at least a 20.5” top tube, and everything smaller is either all Hi-Ten, ... more »

Tried a bunny hop on my afternoon ride today, and didn’t get off the ground. I really feel like the 7” bars in this 24” bike are keeping me from getting any leverage to hop. Should have my taller bars by the weekend, so I will be trying again when they ... more »

Good job bro! A bit more speed would make that completely sick.

Oh, I’m sure I will eventually. I do want to drop at least 25 pounds before I give it a go though. I’m right under the top rated weight to even be riding the bike, much less jumping on it. I want to give myself a bit of room for error so that the cranks ... more »

Looks like your suggestion is a winner. I have already received shipping info for my order, so it appears they had them in stock when nobody else did. And... they had them listed at a lower price than I could have gotten them direct from Haro. Feel free ... more »

Reply to The worst pro BMX rider 10/13/2020 8:21 AM

I’ve never heard of most of the names mentioned in this thread due to the many years that have passed since I last was into BMX. As a result, I had to go dig up some videos of these riders so that I could form an educated opinion. Well, as a general ... more »

Reply to Can I Isolate the "Hop" Part of a Bunny Hop for Practice? 10/12/2020 9:25 PM

Another Mustang guy here. This is a 2004 GT with the 40th Anniversary badging. It’s my DD. The 4.6 isn’t even remotely fast by today’s standards, but it’s fast enough to get you into trouble if you want it to. It also sounds really good with the Flowmaster’s

That’s a clean looking bike.

Reply to pegs, guards, and sprockets, oh my! 10/12/2020 8:02 PM

I’m not sure how long the plastic pegs will last, but it would definitely depend upon the amount of abuse they see. I would assume however, that there is certainly a reason why they sell replacement sleeves for them, and I would expect to go through ... more »

I too am new (well, newly back after 25 years), and I am not back to doing stunts at this point. As such, I’m not currently running any pegs myself. If, I decide to get any in the future, I might run something like these... https://www.danscomp.com/haro-bikes-78-plastic-peg-black-1-4.33-universal-94306/p1208575?v=1142459&gclid=CjwKCAjw_Y_8BRBiEiwA5MCBJr5faexiHjpoUSrDwizsVri9hYhCiLC4x_Ct2qLj6sNqfmWXndS56RoChlAQAvD_BwE ... more »

What kind of riding do you like to do? Mostly street, park, flatland? I would buy based on what you intend to use them for with my selection based upon the criteria of: 1) Material- Do you ride someplace that won’t allow metal pegs? That might be a consideration. ... more »

Took my first night ride in 25 years tonight, and had a great time. I found a few parking lots nearby that had some really neat features for messing around. I discovered that I will have to wait for my taller bars before trying to re-teach myself how ... more »

I believe the bottom bracket to be the culprit. I decided rather than tear everything down, I would start with one thing and progress from there. Rather than take it all apart, I used some Brakefree CLP gun lube to spray around the outer edge of the ... more »

Thanks for the link my guy... I’ve placed my order with instructions to cancel if they are not in stock. Hopefully, they are in stock and I will have them soon.

Yeah... that’s my hangup. I just don’t want a different name on my bike. Frankly, even the Lineage stem on my bike kinda bugs me because they made the name Lineage stand out above the small Haro logo.

Good to know. I always have assumed “sealed” to mean that you can’t access the internals to do maintenance without tearing it up. I will look into some how-to’s on these.

Is there a way to check sealed headsets/hubs/etc.? Everything on this bike is sealed, and the bike is brand new.
