@SoCalShreds, thanks. It’s just something I try to do to give back to the bmx/skate community and keep kids stoked.

Sometimes you just have to take the initiative to get things done. That’s how it works at our local park. I was approached by a friend of mine about 7 years ago with the idea of improving our skatepark. He had some ideas about what he wanted to see.

What are your intentions for this project? How far are you wanting to take it? As you already know the market is saturated. You've already stated that you don't expect to make any profit. Every possible geometry configuration is already covered by someone. ... more »

Thanks, guys. I've only been riding this for a short time but I'd have to say it's probably my favorite bike that I've owned. A perfect combination of parts for me and it's equally comfortable on street and dirt.

Like you, I'm a big fan of Tree's products. Although I'm not currently riding them, I have 8.5 Motos (12 back/4 up). They are great bars. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

They look very similar to the Shadow Strada Nuova tires. They come in 2.3. I run them and love them.

If you'd rather make you bars wider than find a skinny lever Matt Beringer makes bar extender bar ends. They come in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1" lengths.

$5 at Dan's. If you have a local shop you might try them first. It would save you the shipping.

Added reply in a thread Rear Brakes Wont Spring Back 2/5/2017 8:12 AM

The springs are directional, meaning that they are side specific and cannot be interchanged. The left spring is generally silver and the right is gold, black or some other color. They wind in opposite directions. When you are tensioning them ... more »

In the third pic it looks like the spring is unwound which means you're turning it the wrong way to tension it. Turn it the opposite way, tighten it down and see what happens.

I agree. They should have staff who perform routine daily inspections of the park, and I'm sure they probably do. But this is being considered vandalism and because of the nature of the situation, some safety regulatory agency is probably involved and ... more »

Added reply in a thread Sprocket Hops? 12/9/2016 1:30 PM

This is a sprocket adapter, sometimes called a top hat washer. When your sprocket is bored for a larger spindle than the one you are using, a sprocket adapter is inserted into the sprocket so that it fits snugly on your spindle.
Added reply in a thread Sprocket Hops? 12/9/2016 1:04 PM

It sounds like you are missing your sprocket adapter. Did you forget to install it or do you need to buy one? Does your sprocket fit snug over the spindle or is there a gap in between?
