When you say bb height plays a small part in spins do you mean higher bb = more effort to spin? Thats what it seems like to me. Or is personal riding style and just comfort more of a factor?

Hmmm, been trying to figure out why its just not a comfortable feeling frame. I dont know if its just the height or if its that mixed with the longer backend, or if its just me coming back from injury and not adjusting well. Will the height have a negative

Ya the mast may be slightly taller on the Bonedeth as well. Would 5mm on its own actually be that noticeable?

Its the Loosefer v3 I believe. The last run before Randy Taylors death. I swapped seat and post between the two just to see about that and its still a huge difference by feel. Does that .2" bb height really feel like its a huge difference?

Hmmmm thats the way I thought it was. Not sure why my it feels so much taller than my mutiny...... Ya mutiny measures to top of tt at 8.95 but physically measuring both frames center to center they are the same in that respect. .2 bb height is the only ... more »

Do you mean just frame or overall bike stand over? Measuring both the BD and the Loosefer from center of BB to center of top tube they are both 8.75" but the bb height is .2" lower on the Loosefer. Caught that before you edited your post.

What is it about the geometry that makes the seat seem so high even when slammed? Compared to my Loosefer with the same stand over measured center to center it feels like I have half my post raised out of the frame. The mutiny does have 11.6 bb height ... more »

A friend of mine had them send out a replacement frame when his complete broke after just over a year. Was a free replacement and the card with it said it was full chromoly etc, but didnt say what it was, no decals, and only F-it stamped in it. Maybe ... more »

I have actually used these the last two winters, got the anti-vibration ones meant for using air tools, etc. They are actually pretty comfortable and last quite well too.

Would Madera Grafittis be a close second choice for you?

Added reply in a thread profile gdh cranks 9/21/2013 11:58 AM

That's debatable if your into doing huge drops. I've seen ti spindles and axles break from impacts that most chromo stuff survives. Besides GDH Profiles are already light enough, why would you need lighter. My hollowbites with a ti spindle still weigh ... more »

I get the height part, my back is messed up and I find taller bars more comfortable as well. Its the width part, if your actually making use of the whole width of the bar and its comfortable for you then it makes sense, its just the ones that hold close ... more »

Ok I have to ask, why do people ride huge wide bars like 30" and hold them on the bends or close too? Seems to me that much bar is just in the way if your not actually making use of it...... I have asked kids at the park and never really get an answer ... more »

I think they look uncomfortable and probably a bit painful if you happen to land nose heavy. Im curious as to their reasoning behind them.
