This^^^^^ i just rawed my frame and painted right over it and the uesd two cans of clearcoat. In person mine is a little brighter than the pic above, although i wished it was a little darker.

Just painted straight onto raw frame and then cleared it. I used the trans red, and be sure to put plenty of clearcoat on there. The paint is made to give a trans colored look to aluminum or chrome motor parts. So its not too durable and will scratch ... more »

Duplicolor "metal-cast" .....get it from auto parts store. They got different colors too.

Try a stem shim. My friend had this problem and this worked for him.
