I've ridden 9" Vultus bars for years, my last set I cut pretty short but this set is 27" wide and I noticed something - I'm able to sit in my seat, roll up to a wall and put my front wheel against it to position the bike, grasp the bars with the widest ... more »

Sundaybmxrr- I hope that's the case with some of my other pedals, as my first pair I attempted it on was *not* a double nut setup, it was merely a single nut at the end of a cromo spindle (there was a nut, a spacer and two sealed bearing cartridges) ... more »
It was the compression nut, for some reason it was moving when I tightened the wheel in....left it ~1/16th turn looser before re-tightening the axle nuts and all was well, am in love with this new driver I've ridden 2nd-hand drivers and wheels for so ... more »
I know I'm long-winded when I write so I'm guessing you didn't read my whole post but yeah it's a LHD driver lol, the pawls are catching beautifully (in fact I'm f'ing in love with the noise of them, mmmm fresh pawls bangin that hub w/ minimal grease ... more »
I ride with flipped cranks (ie my RHD cranks are on the opposite sides they should be), this puts my pedals backwards ie they tilt backward not forward - I figured the obvious answer would be to just pop off the outside plastic piece that protects the ... more »

the one that goes around the outer-most edge of the driver, sealing it against the outer-most ring of of the outside of the hub-body? I had a black (seemed more plastic than rubber) thin washer/gasket there, honestly I don't even recall seeing it yesterday ... more »
So I just replaced my hub's driver and I babied it, I mean I always do a good job of de- and re-greasing everything but this driver was a PITA to find (LHD 10t for older ODY driver, had to get help from odyssey who were FANTASTIC in helping me), I greased ... more »

So I've got a pile of lumber that's been sitting for a while, and I just came into another pile twice as large, I know I can build a sturdy box around 8' long, is that too short as to be a complete waste? I'm fine at going distance on feebles & double

Not bad for 400 grit, am excited to see where 1-2k grit gets me! I'm not sure how practical it is trying to match polished steel to chrome but hopefully it's enough to get a matching effect

LOVE them, like I don't know that I'll get a different grip for a looong time, I've tried a TON of different grips and was actually liking smoother stuff (cult DAKS for instance) but am in love with the hoders, I'll definitely be getting these for a

ROFL! I agree though, I've had my weight-weenie phases, I brought my 24lbs (from factory) united su2 down to a hair over 23lbs, ended up making some sacrifices for comfort or practicality and had it right back to 24lbs (for different reasons, and now ... more »
Exactly! I feel like I'd *constantly* be worried about it, wouldn't be worth the 2nd-guessing it would cause, am going to continue using mine!
That's what I was suspecting, gotcha
I dig the look of it, but wouldn't consider doing it if it made that area weaker and i really suspect it does to some degree even if not major. I was looking at your bike-check, that's a great bike man! ...

Ok so once again I saw a picture of a pro's bike and it's got no compression bolt on the forks! I'm so confused by this, am hoping someone can explain wtf the purpose of that would be? AFAIK, you cannot even properly seat the forks/stem/headset without

For some reason it looks like my original reply didn't go through, so apologies if this is a double-reply (and for the fact it will be shorter/blunter than my original, my dinner's ready tho lol) There's no reason to believe those are cheap forks, in ... more »
Yeah that last paragraph you write is what I've realized - but it requires me getting the parts of this geometry I like by buying both new frame (20.75) and like 25mm (shorter?) forks, and forks are stupid-expensive and frames usually are too, am unsure ... more »
I dunno what to do now, I hadn't tried barspins yet on this and did today, with the bars forward, and the shorter TT, the grip was in my legs I couldn't do anything (27.75" bars) Am looking for cheap, short-rake forks now but not having lots of luck, ... more »

Thanks man, it's *feeling* awesome!! I'm in love with this new geometry and am killing it with it, also just gotta love when everything's tight and perfect, I went over every last bit to tune/tighten/adjust in the days following the actual build, it

So I just swapped from 21" to 20.5", and when I did that I moved my bars forward in the stem, so that, in the end on the new frame, my grips were still the same relative distance from my seat/drivetrain/rear wheel. I've loved it so far in a lot of ways,
