Added reply in a thread What would you change on modern BMX bikes? 4/29/2022 12:10 AM

U-brakes that take a regular threaded pad that don't let the pad & pivot point go past parallel when engaged/touching the rim. When they go past this point it wastes power because the pads aren't pushing straight into the rim, but into the rim at ... more »

Ehhh that's a decent drop down, if it gets funky inside the tire it'll explode Fuckit it's just a tube it's going to get punctured or pinched anyways

Yeah you don't need to pedal most of the time duh You can't tell me you've never hit a line wrong or just needed that extra crank before a big jump tho c'mon

Are you going to keep riding bikes at some capacity? If you have the access to trails and ability to get a MTB it'll fill the bike void. Fixed gear ripping is mad fun too. I'll remember our beef when we were teens ❤️

Added reply in a thread Grease for BMX - Need Help 4/28/2022 11:40 PM

Marine grease or whatever you can get at AutoZone Grease this stuff: -bolt threads (lightly, only a little dab/swipe at the bottom of threads, no need to even go all the way around) -the mating surface between headset bearings and your frame (a thin ... more »

Added reply in a thread When alone at a skatepark I am not so motivated 4/28/2022 8:26 PM

I can't let go and send it 100% by myself. Tried to hold onto a manual a lil too long once and knocked myself out in a park once. When I woke up later nobody had come across me and it made me really think about what would happen if things were worse ... more »

Bro you NEEEEEED to be able to pedal for speed this can't be real 💀 This would be feasible if you only rode a set a jumps that were perfectly built or were a perfect rider that could carry crazy speed into everything

Added reply in a thread Bars / Stem Combos? 4/26/2022 10:08 AM

I second Four, Try 9" bars and a top load or 9.25-9.5" with a front load, it'll feel nice.

Added reply in a thread BMX is dying... 4/26/2022 10:03 AM

A few reasons I think bmx could be shrinking -lots of old bmx dudes are boners that don't see riding they idolize as worthwhile or legitimate and are dicks to new riders -skateboarding has a welcoming community that does a better job of embracing diversity ... more »

Here's the company's breakdown of the housing. It's a little unnecessary but the housing compresses very very little. The design is a cool hybrid of linear and regular cables, plus it looks cool. The brake feels better than any other U-Brake I've felt, which is probably a combination of ... more »

Added reply in a thread Thunderbolt cranks? 1/25/2022 12:50 PM

I tried finding this too when I assembled a customer's bike, concluded that "fairly tight" was the answer. They're real beefy cranks, go tight but don't try and go full gorilla torque on it. Check it during and after a sesh and if you feel a lil wiggle, ... more »

They feel good! This setup is feeling killer, the brake housing really is a notch above most other housings, it's just ridiculously expensive 💀
