This year there has been a lot of noise about future releases of disc mounted trails BMX's as well as double squishy's, the like of which include DeathPack BMX, FingerCrossed BMX and of course the Rachel and Ross of BMX (will they, won't they) the WTP

Yes, I commented about it a few days back on r/BMX... Looks like the SSL keys haven't been updated! This could be the final death nail if the owner don't do something about it!

yes, I've been looking at that but it has the integrated guard. Are all odyssey 24mm compatible?
Thought I should do an update about the 3d chain tensioner printed. As you can see they work a treat.
Looking for a 28T sprocket with a 24mm axle, preferably without an integrated guard. Oh, in anodised blue. I've been looking at both odyssey and profile, however they both seem to be for 22mm axles only. I've also noticed that S&M have stopped doing ... more »

haha, mine is 10.77kg with brakes.
The standard Envy is 11.03kg, so the extra money is for saving 200grams??? Don't get me wrong, I'd love a pair of Carbonic rims but the whole point is to reduce rotational weight. I'm sure someone has missed ...

Something can't be right, I saw that the Carbonic is 10.8kg, this surely cant be right as my 2021 custom Envy is exactly 10.77kg, with heavy NASA rims, Federal cranks etc, not the lightest of parts.

For the New Years resolution, I decided to learn to hop tailwhip. I've only been riding for 7 months though I'm starting to feel comfortable on the bike. Any advice would be well received, in particular, what to do with your feet? https://youtu.be/_2hW75dTMNo?t=535

So far so good, they fill like a normal u-brake, solid. I haven't reinvented the wheel and I think the force multiplier used on this design was within the normal ratio of a bmx brake. So, if I had to do a blind test, I don't think I would be able to

Made a quick video showing the Carbon brake in action. As you can see it works. I'm going to run it till the end of the month and if I haven't broken it or it hasn't failed, then give it away to someone. If the image doesn't play see - https://www.instagram.com/p/CZug2rpFZfn/

Had to use a brass bushing, that is a must, however where the brake pads are fixed, I didn't bother doing any reinforcement apart from optimising the carbon layup. I may end up having to use rubber washers for the pads, we will see. Just done a dry fit

Carbon Fibre U-Brake Update. Finally all the parts arrived and found the time to start making the Carbon Fibre U-brake. Obviously being the first time trying something like this, I made a few mistakes along the way. For example when demoulding, I broke

There is an easy answer... Do they arrive with a thermos flask? Mines filled with hot chocolate!
Funny your mentioning a steeper flyout, as this table top is horrible. I have no idea what the angle/arc is, but few people like this flyout as it just launches the front wheel vertically upwards. For example, if your doing a tailwhip, you have to treat ... more »
Usually, you put your foot down about an issue of high importance to you and no matter what I have tried "the foot" refuses to be associated with the pedal! There has been a commitment issue between me and her since the start. I've been trying to put ... more »

Honestly I couldn't tale you as I've only put them on and it's been raining since. However my riding buddy has had them from 6 months and they seems to be fine.
2021 WeThePeople Envy Custom build finished for 2022. 21.25" with 9.5" odyssey bar's - I'm just over 6'. Tried to keep it as clean looking as possible. BSD Revolution rear hub seems to be holding up so far.
