This. Learning to tuck the tire helped me immensely. After you hit it once, it will become second nature.
Just sent you an e-mail.
You're not alone man, I had a Dan's magazine in hand all through middle school and high school. Used to even draw my old frame designs. Once and a while I'll hop on a mail order site and put a complete setup in my cart...it is not really too much different ... more »
If you're going to argue a point, at least get your facts straight. It is 25.4, as in 25.4 millimeters aka 1 inch. 7/8", or 22.2mm, is fine. It has worked for many years, and mostly slips because of operator error.
Not high security here. If you get tossed from a spot, you were going to get tossed even if you were ninja silent. Plastic legs aren't a bad idea. Now that I am older and actually own some property, I realize how shitty it is when someone defaces it. ... more »
Where are you riding that you get kicked out of spots for cassette noise? When I rode Elites, people loved the sound...Never had any shit talk come my way....Same with a chrome rim and clear brake pads. The brakes barking meant they were working. I found ... more »
That is not Socialism, not even close. Stop spreading that BS. It is a stupid stimulus plan that will hurt the working man in the long run. Most will by lottery tickets or booze with it (if it happens). I have a few bucks to Burns, I do not agree with ... more »
Not necessarily. Completely depends on his insurance and financial situation.
I would point more towards the used single wall as the issue. Used nipples do not matter in the slightest. Built many wheels with used spokes and nipples.
Total fucking bummer FBM is gone..... My first Take Ivy 3 (made by FBM) circa 2011ish?
Does anyone know if they are pulling the plug on the whole operation? Will they still be producing soft goods?
I would not say it is "significantly" more. Let's look at some numbers, shall we? I use DT swiss spokes for my wheels. From what I have found, each spoke and nipple weigh 4.72 grams. 4.72x12=56.67 grams per wheel 1oz=28.35 grams Approximately 56.67 grams ... more »
I've done both. Rode brakes forever, then went brakeless for close to two years. Put them back on and realized I'm better off with them. I like doing brake tricks now that I am old.....plus there is nothing like a chrome rim with clear pads.
What up?
I do not...I'm only setup for PayPal haha, guess I gotta get with the times.
Paypal? I'll take it
How much for the bars?
How a weld looks is not a direct correlation to how strong it is. Yes, it is nice for welds to look like a stack of dimes...But it does not mean an entire frame has to be scrapped for some ugly beads.
They fucked me out of a ton of points. I will never order from Dans again, out of a matter of principle.
Hey man trying to get in contact with you about a FBM maneater frame you had please email me. I don't really know how to get ahold of people on here my email is yorteddybear@aol.com
