He seems like a good guy and influence on kids. He wears a helmet, talks about college etc. He probably got people somewhere riding bmx. Who cares? Don't watch if you don't like.

I have 10's, they help with pop. Supposedly you lose absolute max pop, but more height = more leverage getting the bike up. A little kid tried my bike and the bars looked big for him. While sitting his arms were inclined, but he still did a nice bunnyhop. ... more »

Hey Jon. Like Steve said, you gotta jolt. Lean forward a bit and jolt back evenly to get the front wheel up. it will go! Not real hard that you loop out. Watch Gareth on his lesson. Great rider https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9_nOiO8I6K4

I suppose if you have a longer chainstay the front of the bike can get higher?

Added reply in a thread Stuck on manuals :/.... 8/12/2016 10:57 AM

Speaking of chainstay, does shorter also mean easier hops, (more snap, maybe more pop) getting a little off topic of the manual , but like Steve explained, the initial jolt is like a bunnyhop.

Hey guys, great info. I have a question about pulling up. Is pulling up more leaning back while pulling with your arms or is it more of a "throw" back. Like maybe lean forward and throw your weight back to get the front up? I watched some YouTube videos ... more »

Added reply in a thread Beginner back injury 8/1/2016 5:11 AM

Sometimes my lower back feels a little discomfort, not pain after riding for an hour or so. Even with slightly larger bars you're still talking about 1 inch or so only difference in height. For me it's also from sitting all day at work.I hit the gym ... more »

I'm not sure if setup caused your injury but personally I'm a fan of taller bars for us grown men. Much more comfort for lots of riding time.

Like you mentioned, working out is my biggest "hobby". Biking is exercise and cardio but hitting a gym or just buying some equipment is also great for your health! I'm not saying to give up bmx. With regards to bmx I agree with what the other guys are ... more »
