Added reply in a thread How long does it take to learn proper bunny hop? 7/6/2020 9:14 AM

I tried them for years as a kid, but it didn’t really click until I was 13 and got stronger—then I had the muscle (or technique??) to hop to top tube high.

Side by side of Black Market Mob mtb DJ 26” with Liquid Feedback 24”. I like DJ 26” and BMX 24” pretty equally. For dirt I will go with the 26”. For skatepark, I would go with 24”s and rigid fork.

This was S&M rider Chad Johnston riding my 22” at a One Love Jam a few years ago.

Yes. This is from a few years ago and was actually my trails frame, 21.8” top tube. I also had a 21” top tube Stout 22” but I traded it away after realizing I really don’t need/want a short frame anymore. Yes, 21” starts to feel short when you ride 22”,

Would never want to take away attention from the goat, however I need that Vic Murphy photo!

I'm about half way through it. LOVE IT! Close to the same age as you guys so I grew up all through this time. (One small comment for Brad: that Vic Murphy tabletop photo behind you in your office is super distracting. Every time it cuts back to you, I'm looking at Vic and thinking you might say something about Vic!)

Added reply in a thread head tube length 2/27/2019 8:30 AM

There are different possible head tube lengths. Most are 4" or 4.5". S&M makes the Tall Boy frame with a 5.15" head tube. http://solidbikes.bigcartel.com/product/integrated-headtube-quick-taperhttps://www.sandmbikes.com/product/hardgoods/frames/crumlish-sig-tall-boy-frame/ I know this post is old, but it's still a topic that someone could ask and it still comes up at the top of ... more »

Agree with above, but just want to mention that 22" tubes are pretty easily available through web stores: https://www.amazon.com/Kenda-Inner-Tubes-Schrader-SHIPPING/dp/B00ZICCWRO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1499266601&sr=8-3&keywords=22+X+1.75+bicycle+tube I like both 22", 24", and 26" mtb. basically 22" replaced 20"s for me.

Post it on bmxmuseum.com . But, don't try to sell it (have to be a member to do that) or ask what it's worth in the regular discussion forum.

Some guys might not be into it, but a lot of my old bmx friends now ride both bmx and mtb. With you living in NW Denver, you're closer than almost everyone to the best flow DH in the country. Have you ridden that stuff yet? Winter Park, Keystone, etc?

Added reply in a thread Fork offset and durability. 6/26/2017 4:43 PM

I don't see how it could have any effect on strength. If anything, more offset seems slightly less strong (like it would put more stress on the dropouts).
