I think it's a 2011 Mirraco Pelham. Although try emailing Mirraco about the serial number.

Based on the serial number, seatstay bridge, downtube gusset, and wishbone chainstays it appears to be a Mirraco. That also looks like a Black Label sprocket.

The Sunday Wave C is available on a website called Cheap Goods BMX for $309.99 with free shipping. I have not purchased from them before, but they do have an eBay seller's account that is in good standing.

Out of those listed, the Aitken 1 looks like the best value. If you're willing to buy from them, Empire and Albe's have the 2014 Kink Whip for $419.95; it has a 100% chromoly frame, fork, and bars, and everything is sealed.

Albe's has the 20.25" Fit Wifi on sale for $176.36 after applying a discount. It would probably be more fun and more condusive to learning to ride a frame that possesses a geometry that suits you than it would be to ride a frame that doesn't, regardless ... more »

I don't know if paint stripper will affect the appearance of the aluminum, but don't use sandpaper or any other abrasives on the aluminum unless you want to achieve a polished or scuffed look.

What might help to reduce the screeching is to toe in the brake pads so that the front of the brake pad contacts the rim before the back of the brake pad.

To remove paint or powder coat, I think you need to use paint stripper/remover, instead of paint thinner. Also, get the supposedly stronger aircraft paint stripper; the regular paint stripper required many applications, along with scraping and sanding, ... more »
