Yeah you can't go wrong with anything s&m. I wouldn't worry too much about it. After the hartbreaker i bought an fbm steadfast frame and while I was waiting for it to be built my friend was selling his atf22. So I gave that a try. And like I mentioned before it just clicked with me. When I finally got my steadfast i sold it without even building or riding it. What a shame. Might have even been worth money if I kept it being that they went out of business. Oh well. Enjoy your bikes bro.

Hey thanks. I loved this bike when I got it back in 2015. It has one of the lowest bottom brackets around which they say makes it stable. I loved it. But unfortunately only rode it for about a year. I ended up getting an s&m atf 22 in shortly after. The 22 felt so much more natural to me. I'm 6 feet 250 lb and 40 years old. It is so much more stable and less twitchy, it's almost like cheating. This hartbreaker sits in my basement now awaiting the one day that I keep telling myself I'll get back on it and try a 20-inch again. But I know it will never happen.

I have these black lines that seem to be under the clear coat of my ATF frame. I saw rust on a bike recently and it looked just like this. If it is rust it must have happened at s&m before they clear coated it. Sounds unlikey. What do you guys think? ... more »

Sorry, failed to search before posting. Saw some threads mentioning Tektros, and others mention Fly's long-style pivot bolts. Just not sure that the threads would match my frame. Just got off the phone from Odyssey and they said the bolts that came with ... more »

Hi guys, I have an S&M ATF frame with removable brake mounts. To my discovery, I realized that these do not work like welded-on mounts. Instead of the brake bolts screwing into the mounts, they screw into the frame itself. In other words, you must ... more »

I remember the pamphlet that came with the chain had some warnings on it. They want you to use their chain tool. Why is this? Why would my park chain not not suffice? They also mentioned something about the master pin. I would assume they are talking ... more »

I am hoping that my hartbreaker is made of some quality metal. S&m use TT tubing? Anyone know what fbm uses? Ox platinum? Standard right? Any other bike companys use ox? Thanks steve

I am sure there a differences in the quality of metal too. Maybe others who know more than I can comment. Cult likes to throw around terms like "Cult Classic Tubing". Kink: "Seamless Sanko tubing".

The biggest obstacle in bmx is being able to separate fear from ability. Knowing your limits is one thing, but procrastinating over something you know you can do is another thing. You just gotta do it. Take a couple runs to judge your speed and then ... more »

This would be one of the few things i haven't done yet. I want to keep my hubs/spokes but just replace the rims. Cruiser wheels, 36 spokes. The LBS quoted me $70 per wheel. High? For those that have done this before, do you think it is worth it?

Added reply in a thread What bike do you regret buying/selling? (Goes for parts too) 7/27/2016 8:56 AM

I regret trading my Schwinn aluminum XS ENF frame (circa 1997ish) for an S&M Homes. Granted, S&M is great and I was always a big guy and mainly rode trails and was afraid of cracking the Schwinn, which was the mentality behind the whole trade.....but ... more »
