Reply to Vital needs an app! 5/30/2016 10:53 AM

The amount of people visiting Vital on mobile devices is constantly growing, while the amount visiting on a computer seems to be in a slight, but steady decline. I don't think you're alone here. Mobile is where everything is headed. It's too easy and ... more »

A lot of times they don't even ask. I wouldn't sweat it, but I'd have some cash on hand just in case. I can't imagine anything bad happening if you get caught in a lie. I'd just keep it vague - not telling the whole truth. It's "sporting equipment" or ... more »

That was in Estonia. I don't think Uncle Sam lives there.

I think there a lot of changes and updates that you need to stay on top up with apps. However, based on a lot of business models, it's probably worth it. If you're selling a product and the app makes buying it an easier experience, it'd be a great investment. ... more »

Glad to hear that. We have a web guy who is a damn genius. He makes all of this possible. Randomly, he lives in your neck of the woods (Reno).

If they want to charge ya, they're going to charge ya. I've seen both sides many times. I don't think it has much to do with who you are or what you say. It has everything to do with who they are and what they feel like doing. If you're taking any short ... more »

Gerber is definitely one of the most underrated riders in the game.

We've put time and resources into making the mobile site as easy to use as possible. We think that makes more sense than completely building out a custom app. So many people end up on Vital through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) links ... more »

This sucks. Sounds like they're blowing it on all aspects (being open during business hours, handling orders appropriately, paying their vendors...).

What don't you like about it? Jamie may have felt the same way... His is custom.

He had a GT poster in an issue of Ride many years ago (10 to 15?) riding trails. Thats irrelevant, but you saying that just reminded me.

Reply to T1 ramp? 4/5/2016 12:30 PM

We posted about it on the homepage a week or so ago. While this is a huge bummer, I consider the fact that it existed for so many years as a pretty big BMX victory. Think of all the ramps / parks that have come and gone during the T1 ramp's life. I first ... more »

That absolutely sucks, but I'm sure will be for the best in the long run. Get through all of the bullshit and move on with your life. I've seen numerous friends go through nasty divorces. The first bit is always rough, then it's back to single living ... more »

Completely agree with your "other aspects of cycling" comment. I recently spent $60 on a pump. I wish it could have been from a brand that supports BMX!

That's dope. Upload it to the bike check section and I'll post it to the homepage.

I'll try to dive into this more later, but just wanted to make note that "team equity" does exist within some brands. I won't directly say who (if they wanted it public, it'd be public), but that idea does exist and, in my opinion, works well.

Beyond heartbroken. Dave paved the way for so many of us. As a child, he was a hero. As an adult, he was a friend. I can't even begin to put into words what he means to the BMX world. Icon is an understatement.
