Yeah, it's crazy. I couldn't even stick my pinkie finger in the wheel well with the 2.4's. Now there's tons of space. At least running front brakes will be a lot easier.

Before and After - 2.4 to 1.75

I love them. It was hard to get used to after riding those 2.4's, though. I like doing foot jams for tail whips (still trying to get them down) and for practicing fakies. The smaller tyres make this a bit harder due to all the freed up space in the wheel ... more »

Thanks a lot for explaining all this to me. Ya'll saved me from wasting money. I was about to start ordering what I *thought* I needed, but I decided to post here first and get some opinions. I would have ended up with parts I couldn't use. I may try ... more »

Thanks to both of you for the help with this. Do you know if this would work with what I have? https://shop.odysseybmx.com/products/pre-load-bolt I may just go ahead and order a preload bolt if that would be the easiest solution. Thanks again.

I want to run some front brakes down the steerer tube, but I'm not sure what kind of hollow bolt I need to do this. I have an Odyssey stem/headset. I would prefer to just get a simple 1 1/8" hollow bolt rather than buy a whole preload bolt. Can anyone

I finally got some smaller tyres. I ended up getting the Odyssey Performance G's. They're 1.75 so this is going to be a drastic change from the 2.4's I've been riding.

No updates yet, but I'm leaning toward the Haro HPF 2.0's. I like the Kendras, but I can't find those anywhere. As soon as I get the tires and get them put on, I'll post the before and after photos. I'm looking forward to ditching those 2.4 monsters! ... more »

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm thinking between 1.9 to 2.0 is where I want to go next. The 2.4's are just too big for the things I want to do, so I figured the 2.0 Haro's would be a happy medium. I'm also thinking of adding some front brakes, so hopefully ... more »

Thanks Fortyseven! That helps a lot. That's a drastic different in size in those before and after pics. The Kendras you have are exactly the size I would like to have on my bike. I may have to opt for those instead of the Haros. I'll check out that thread ... more »

I have a 2021 Sunday Primer Park with 2.4 Odyssey Path Pro tyres. I want to go with some smaller tyres that are better suited for flatland/freestyle, but I'm not sure what would work and what would be best. I was thinking about Haro HPF 2.0 tyres. Does ... more »

Added reply in a thread If You *Had* to Get Side-Pull Front Brakes.... 8/16/2020 8:33 AM

Thanks for the suggestions. The brake mount kits or buying a new fork is just too expensive for what I want the brakes for. And those mount plates cost around $40. I'm mainly adding the front brakes as an alternative to footjams. I've been learning tricks ... more »

I've decided that I definitely want to get front brakes on my bike to do various flatland/freestyle tricks, but my fork only has the mount for old school side pull brakes above the wheel. The adapter plates for u-brakes are almost impossible to find, ... more »

My main concern is just whether I can get the brake cable up through the fork without it rubbing against the front wheel. There's just such a tiny amount of space and seems like no room for error.

I took the lever apart while trying to tighten things up a bit. When I tried to put it back in I found I couldn't get it back in with the two golden washers. I can use one washer and get it to fit in, but it's too loose. Seems like there's about a mm
