What you’re describing is not normal. Take it apart, clean it, check for wear. If it all looks good, lots of grease, put it back together and try it out. If you still have issues, something is worn out or sticking.
At 70psi I bet they are fatter than 2.4

It’s done! Got some Demolition Momentum tires on the new Primos and Demolition Trooper black/white swirl pedals to match the grips and seat.
My kids and I have 4 Kink bikes (Switch, Whip XL, Launch x2) and the only issue I have is the rear wheel on my Switch was a little out of true from the factory. Easy fix. Would definitely recommend if on a budget. The coaster has been perfect so far ... more »
Got my wheels yesterday. Primo Balance VS front and Freemix VS rear. Expecting one more delivery today and my bike build is totally done.
I’m riding 2.25 Path Pro K-Lytes right now. They are nice and fast but I want a little softer landing and a little more grip so I have some fatter Demolition Momentums on the way. Hopefully they work out. A lot of people like them.

Finished the build for now. Will upgrade the wheels as needed and I want a cinema stealth seat post and maybe some different pedals. I didn’t put my pegs on yet either.
I’m 40 now and used to ride a Haro Sport in the late 80s-early 90s. We moved to Paris TX a year ago and it’s a pretty bike friendly place. Trail d’ Paris runs through the city and there is a brand new public asphalt pump track. Also a public skate park
