Spending that little on a bike is sick. Props.

Your bike's pretty dialed dude. What are you looking to replace? Everything looks too be in great condition too.

Gear Ratios: Take the tooth count on your sprocket, divide it by the tooth count on your driver. Standard ratio sits at about 2.75. This is well balanced and can be used for pretty much anything. Example: 39/14 = 2.79 and 25/9 = 2.78 The higher the ratio, ... more »

23/9 = easier, quick acceleration, low top speed. 28/9 = harder, have to push harder to get going, but more speed. go easy if you're all about tech, go hard if you go big, stay where you're at if you like a good blend.

Just under the assumption that he does. Someone asked what type of wheel he has, but he never answered.

I'm still an advocate of pumping money into the BMX economy, but I'm pretty sure it's up on Odyssey's site.

Are you rocking a freewheel in the back? You can get a 13T freewheel like this one, then go down to about 33/13. That would be about as easy as 23/9.

To not land on the side of the wheel, turning your head should take care of that. It should help keep your body centered over the bike. If you're carving really hard into the 180 you may be spinning the bike around you instead of keeping over it.

Totally support your LBS. Maybe they can order you something with a full chromo frame. It would be worth the wait, and might cost the same or a little more.

There is a possibility you didn't wait long enough between coats and/or that the coats were too thick.

Yeah, the rims on the coaster or cassette are both single walled Alex.

I've heard that the slack adjustment can be a pain in the ass, but it's a sound coaster otherwise.

I have an old reverse, and it eventually went bad on me. I was looking into getting a new coaster, but I ended up getting that upgrade kit with the auto adjust internals. It may have been too long since I've had a new driver and everything, but it runs ... more »

28/14 would be super easy, like spinning in place easy.
