Whats your thoughts on a 20 " vs a 26" on that type of stuff? Is a 26" safer?

Rail yard in Arkansas is where I plan to go. I dont ride my bmx much you are correct. I bought a really nice BMX but I only use it at the skatepark and those jumps. I mostly ride my MTB. So I am wondering if a DJ is the way to go for me. Im older so ... more »

They are wooden jumps, 5 - foot high, steep radius. Not vert. This is the actual jump I cleared and crashed on. The mtb jumps I do are just piles of dirt.

Is learning to do real DJs harder on a BMX if Ive been riding MTBs more on trails? Found some real DJs type jumps and I gave it a go with my bmx and it resulted in looping out and going over the bars here and there. I had some sucessful jumps and cleared ... more »

Not sure what you mean by "down the step down". The ramp can kick up my back tire causing a nose first landing, thats why I think I at least need to jump down an decline. Im going to be testing that shortly. I have a 24" bmx so it handles grass better. ... more »

I hit it with my MTB first since its more forgiving in case the ramp buckled. The ramp radius is good for learning but way to shallow for the speed I can get down my driveway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur4P75PVCt8

Started a foot lower to build confidence.

Yeah its a 9 foot radius and only 6 foot long so probably a 40 degree flyout at that height. I will build a tighter radius as I learn. I wanted something to build confidence on.

You may have missed this part LOL "just propped up that is not the legs"

Pic of a jump I am building, whats a reasonable max height for most people to be able to land without getting hurt or breaking a bike? This jump is 3 feet as shown (just propped up that is not the legs). Landing will probably be grass.

I really liked the sunday model C but its has hi-ten steel in it. Granted the redline is chromoly but I doubt 4130 so who knows. I do have the soundwave complete so it would go good with that! Quick update, I finally got through and they sent me a new ... more »

Ive had this bike for 1 year and I KNOW its not high quality. However I must say this bike is quite tough, even the single walled rims take a beating. However the rear brake mount failed, the weld didn't hold. The threaded insert moves inside the frame. ... more »

Building for my daughter, she's 9 and small. Shorter then many 9 year olds. I am thinking of getting the 19" TT. She will ride on bmx tracks and ride street with me. I want to stay with 20" tires to ensure I can get parts and she can grow into it more. ... more »
