Thanks again Dan. I’ve been thinking that if I’m buying new I might as well get exactly what I want. Hard part is making up my damn mind. Call me crazy, and I won’t say you’re wrong, but I’ve always been a fan of 4 piece bars. I took a close look at ... more »

I’m more picky about front wheels. Back wheel folds on you, you skid to a stop. Front wheel folds, you’re gonna have a bad day.

Yeah, the generation of mustangs after the fox looked like a celica or something. Still decent cars looks aside. The cobras had independent rears that were miles ahead of the 4 links in all the others.

Man, awesome to see you are actually riding that thing. You know probably 90% of them will get put together and just get put on display. I have some triple 8 elbow pads I like. They are decent about not being in the way, but take the edge off a hit nicely. ... more »

If I already had it and it was on the rear I’d run it. As it is I wouldn’t take the time to assemble it and I definitely wouldn’t pay anything for it.

Spongeworthy, that does help in that it confirms my suspicion that additional upsweep is not necessarily an automatic and complete cure-all. Baglagrupie, good question and I run my bars inline with the forks. I actually thought about pushing them forward ... more »

Might just be. I searched an image of that Colony tire and it looks kind of small. I wonder if like a 2.1 Grifter would be a little closer match for the Aitken. I guess they don't make the Aitken any smaller than 2.25? I seem to remember that being the

Hey all. I'm considering changing my bars for a little different geo and hoping someone might have some input for me. I’m riding bsd giraffic bars on my VHS right now. 9” height, 13° back, 1° upsweep. I like the feel of the bars, but my wrists bug me ... more »

No probs. Yeah, kind of surprised me too. I figured the Aitkens would be bigger compared to their spec, but doesn't really look like it. The bikes are in the basement right now and the light sucks down there. Otherwise I'd get a side by side pic to compare ... more »

The 2.1 Grifter measures about 2.04" wide. The Aitken is harder to measure because of the side knobs, but it looks like about 2.205 at its widest, and that is listed at 2.25. Funny, both are under their spec width by almost the same amount. Both at about ... more »

Love it. The black tuffs definitely work. That’s a thought on the tires. Perhaps you could find a way to spin the wheel and shave the tire a little at a time as it turns. Seems it would be awful tedious to do it one lug at a time.

^Grifters might be a safe bet, then. Bike is rad, indeed.

Out of curiosity, what frame do you have that won’t fit an aitken 2.25 in the back? I have that size aitkens on one of my bikes and grifters in 2.1 on another. Provided I remember, I’ll grab a measurement on both when I get in tomorrow morning. Even ... more »

Fortyseven, I have an instantgram. Never used it for anything, but this may be a good excuse to play around with it. My daily driver is an 89 sr5 Corolla with a stock 1.6 and an automatic. Slow as hell, but has koni’s gc coils, and Dunlop star specs. ... more »

Sent me down memory lane with that post. For real, I had a slow day at work and spent about half my shift lost in youtube world looking at bmx vids from 10 or 15 years ago. Lol, good stuff.

I'm liking these newer Fords. On of these might make a nice little daily driver when I stop being cheap and fooling with all this old stuff. For now though, I do have a little Ford project of my own. It's a 2.3 4cyl, with a little more compression than

Dude says racist things. Gets called out on it. Dummy defends it and tries to say people are racist for calling him racist. Never ending loop of common sense vs I'm not admitting I'm wrong ensues. That's what I got from skimming over it, anyway.
