Added reply in a thread Got my 2021 Haro Freestyler DMC Legend 24
I thought that thing looked good in the stock photos online, but it looks even cooler in the different angles you got there. There’s enough silver and chrome already on the bike I’d think chrome bars would look good if you do decide to change them.

Thanks guys. I’ll definitely post up how the bars feel. I left some extra room on my fork to bump the stem up and down with spacers if necessary to find what I ultimately like best. Hopefully I’ll have the VHS all put together and be healed up to do ... more »
Added reply in a thread Opinion on wearing helmets?
I have a bad habit of not wearing mine when I think I’m just going for a quick cruise, then get caught up playing around, doing stuff I shouldn’t be doing without one. There’s no good excuse for me not to wear it either. The one I have right now is comfortable ... more »

Hey all. Bumping this thread one more time to say thanks for all the advice, and I did finally make a decision. Got Salt city bars from Empire, should be here later in the week. I must have got the last set, too because they aren’t listed on the site ... more »
Added reply in a thread Spray Painting a... Tire?!
You might have some luck with tire markers. I used them years ago autocrossing, and the colors weren’t the most vibrant, but they were visible and held up okay. I put a link below. Link
Added reply in a thread ODSY Broc Tires & Bead Problem
Some wheels and tires are more of pain than others. I wrecked the bead on a duo tire. They were fine when I was playing in the dirt, but I landed crossed up playing on the asphalt and ripped the bead on the rear. Those tires were a pain to get straight ... more »
Added reply in a thread switching from street to a park bike
It’s fun to change it up now and then. Sometimes I like the mid school feel, sometimes I want the lighter weight and responsiveness of a modern ride. I’d probably be a more skilled rider if I wasn’t on a different bike like every other day, but I like ... more »
Added reply in a thread I bought a bike!!
Definitely does happen, especially lately with covid going on. I just had a rim get stuck somewhere in usps limbo land for like a week. Like cky says, just heightens the anticipation. That said, good choice on the bike. Nice specs for a cruiser. Seems ... more »

I think you'll be happy with the grifter. Having had the two next to each other I think the 2.1 Grifter is a pretty good match for the Aitken as far as looks and size. They also ride nice at that. Both worked well for me on dirt as well as pavement.

Good deal man. I don't know how you kept your sanity all this time. I start losing my mind when I can't go outside. I feel for you being cooped up all this time. I was going to say I least you can still get out before the weather turns cold, but I suppose ... more »

Yeah, I thought the future was over there in that other thread, but now it's right here? I think we've stumbled onto parallel universes here.

I saw those Bastard bars, but Source doesn't list them in their U.S. store. They are also sold out on bone deths site. Otherwise the geometry is in the range I think I'm looking for. I have seen the stiffness factor discussed also. Always kind of dismissed ... more »

Happy birthdays y'all. Seems like this time of the year and spring are common for birthdays. The elbow pads I have are actually Pro Tec. Was thinking of a helmet I use that is Triple Eight.
Added reply in a thread Tools?
My Odyssey travel tool has served me well over a couple years of frequent use. Couple of the allens are twisted, but still usable with no failures. If I know I'm riding over five miles or so one way, bare minimum I want to have a tube and way to air ... more »

The T1 bars have the geometry I want, but at this point I kind of have my heart set on something 4pc. Good call on Devon Smillie's bike. The Fly's are good looking bars. Bummer they had a slipping problem for Pnfdog, that's a definite turn off. It makes ... more »

Thanks again Dan. I’ve been thinking that if I’m buying new I might as well get exactly what I want. Hard part is making up my damn mind. Call me crazy, and I won’t say you’re wrong, but I’ve always been a fan of 4 piece bars. I took a close look at ... more »

I’m more picky about front wheels. Back wheel folds on you, you skid to a stop. Front wheel folds, you’re gonna have a bad day.
Added reply in a thread Can I Isolate the "Hop" Part of a Bunny Hop for Practice?
Yeah, the generation of mustangs after the fox looked like a celica or something. Still decent cars looks aside. The cobras had independent rears that were miles ahead of the 4 links in all the others.
