Hey, welcome. I got back into riding several years ago when my daughter started riding...I turned 40 in January. The first year I got back into it my legs were pretty much like a permanent open wound, shins and knees. I bought the Shadow Invisia shin/ankle ... more »
I didn’t get any new parts today, but I did make a purchase on some rims. My first non-black rim in a while. I was really on the fence about how it would look on my setup and found this link online for a bike configurator. You can quickly/easily select ... more »
Tragic thing about the position the distributors are in. While supply doesn’t generate demand, it must be incredibly frustrating to constantly field questions about availability for popular components...for over a year now.
If you are now (obviously) in the market for a new frame, and what kind are you looking for (short rear end, etc)
Can’t help things. While supply chain issues ha e improved, I know Long Beach port is still underwater (I have a lot of inventory that is in queue at customs now).
1. That sucks, my dude 2. What frame is that? Under any warranty? 3. The turquoise headset on the all black frame looks fresh
Went to the basketball court in my neighborhood to work on foot jam tail whips. I’ve noticed with a shorter acS, that rear end seems to come around quick! Then again it’s only an inch shorter than my older setup so probably all in my head. I was also ... more »
I bought an Eclat stroke chain a couple months ago. I had a clunking noise but it was clearly from the master link not bending properly over the driver. It was pretty easy to spot when I took the hub guard off and could see a small hop when the link ... more »
The 12.5 chainstay is really kind of deceiving if you are trying to run slammed (and still have a chain that isn’t crazy sloppy). At least at 12.4 you can run sub 12.5 and still have a chain that doesn’t slap the chainstay with a 25-9 ratio.
I’m down. Let you know once I’m back over there!
It’s funny...late last night my UK sales leader (he lives in Sussex) called me about bidding on F51 with both building management and motorized shades. Apparently I anticipate being in the area anyway (once travel lifts). I’d definitely visit!
I kind of thought the same thing (tho this is a little shorter and has brake mounts). The cool thing about this is you can actually have a legit sub 12.5 CS without having chain tension that is total dog shit. My BIGGEST takeaway from this is its FIT’s ... more »
Agreed. I actually picked up a 2020 Mixtape recently, which has a pretty short chainstay. I don’t think I could go lower than the Mixtape CS, and I have been riding with 160mm cranks.

Obviously the ultimate decision is up to you. It sucks that you are going thru a divorce right now, but from your other comments I’m assuming you don’t have kids?(correct me if I’m wrong). If that’s the case, everything is a risk. But what are you doing ... more »
I think it could work, not sure if you’ve reviewed the financials, initial investment, etc. or if you are just in the initial concept phase. I live in the Philly suburbs. In the township I live there is a store that specializes in video games (basically ... more »
You have already recognized in your post that BMX shops don’t do great in your area. It seems that you are looking to make this a hybrid business strictly to subsidize the higher-risk BMX shop by offering a commoditized product (coffee) that would cover ... more »
I have two set ups...one RHD and one LHD. Doesn’t impact how I ride or how the bike feels. The only reason for the difference in drive sides is because with product availability issues, I was limited in my selection of rear hubs.
Right...but you can easily buy cups that fit inside an American shell that allow you use mid sealed bearings. https://www.bmxguru.com/products/american-mid-bottom-bracket-cup-set-aluminum-black
This winter in Philly area was a lot worse than last year.
