The first round of the 2006 Dew Tour ended on Sunday, and the season is off to a crazy start. Dirt, Park, and Vert have progressed in a way not many predicted. Park saw Scotty Cranmer put together runs with a double-whip-360 straight into a wallride-to-flair for the win, just ahead of Ryan Guettler, and newcomer Daniel Dhers. Dirt was just as surprising with Anthony Napolitan snagging first with a run consisting of a no-handed-front-flip, tailwhip, and 360-double-whip over the last set. On Vert, all eyes were focused on John Parker’s magic tricks (alley-oop-downside-whips, nothings, decades, etc.), but a terrible crash on a Draino (body varial) in his second run had him down for the count. Simon Tabron was flowed an entire run of bangers topped off with a 900 for first. Jamie Bestwick surprised everyone by simply riding after his recent neck surgery, but he powered through amazing runs for second place.
