Hannah Roberts Bike Check

Hannah Roberts - much like the rest of us - expected 2020 to look a whole lot different than it does. While she planned to be en route to Tokyo to compete in The Olympics right about now, she's instead stuck in her adopted home of North Carolina and working to stay ready for when the competition circuit is resurrected. We caught up with Hannah to take an up-close look at her Hyper Indy build and learn a bit more about it. Check out BMX's top-rated woman's personal ride!

Who are your current sponsors?

USA Cycling, PSK, Tioga, Alienation, Hyper BMX, and Snafu Bmx.

When did you build this bike up?

I built up this bike around the end of October 2019.

Any special modifications on this beast?

Nothing added - everything is as it came.

If we were in Tokyo right now, is this the bike you'd be riding in The Olympics?

I will be riding this exact same setup at The Olympics, but it will be a different color.

How often do you build up a new bike?

I like to build up new bikes every six months if I can, because riding every day and traveling a lot takes its toll.

Do you change parts regularly or is this basically your ideal setup?

This is my ideal setup. It has been working great and I don't see myself changing it anytime soon!

Any signature parts in the works from Hyper or Snafu?

Nothing in the works yet, but maybe in a few years! It would be cool to have my name on something.

Do you ever ride pegs?

I have in the past, but I don't anymore. Maybe I will put them back on in the future...

How good are you at working on your bike?

I am the only one who works on my bike, unless I am traveling. I think I'm decent at working on them and building them up!

What's the best thing about your bike?

The frame! The dimensions are perfect and it is super lightweight. I love this frame!
