Im 14 and looking to get into BMX, I weigh 7st and am 5'4 tall, the things I'm looking for in a bike are:

3 peice crank
Under £200
Not sure if this can be found on this budget, but 25-9 compact gears, this doesnt matter too much its purely a bonus.
Im not too fussed bout weight as long as its under 30lbs its fine, I want a bike that will last a while and get me on my way and I'm looking to ride park and maybe a bit of street but mainly park.

Suggestions of bikes, brands and websites are welcome, thankss...

yeah dude, im 15 been in ridin for a while but for under ₤200? thats gonna be hard, 3 piece cranks used run anywhere from 20-70 american dollars. under 30lbs is easy to find, compact gears anywhere from 22t with a 8t driver to 30t and 11t drivers are all expensive, you can get lucky and find a rear rim with a 9t driver for under 100 dollars. and small sprockets run pretty cheap on these forums. dont even know how much 7st is lol, for brands if you just want a stock bike for starting i would there are tons of brands, but i think for you a FIT would be good. websites, DANS COMP is good and cheap. but for a good bike that will last plan on spending anywhere between ₤250 and ₤600, if you want to make a custom set up for more stronger riding plan on spending more. and it depends if your going into racing or freestyle.

Yeh thats sounds cool, I dont mind buying a relitavely cheap bike then slowly adding new parts like pivotal and compact gears and chro-mo forks etc. But any siggestions of brands to look at? And Im looking to ride park.

umm for park... DKs have a good selection of park bikes, FITs i think would do good too. and it also depends exactly what you will be doing. if you want speed alotta people disagree but i would recomend a redline. i gotta redline xl that weighs about 19lbs and it flies... to start out cheap buying used parts is want you probably need, even building up your own bike from cheap parts can be costly. but for beginning i think just a stock complete would work. just dont get a haro complete they suck. haro after market stuff aint bad but i dont recomend them, they weigh a ton and are annoying to work with.

I did a bitt of searching on the web and found the Diamondback Venom '10, its got 25-9 gears, 3 peice crank, KHE pivotal and post and a low profile frame with good bars.... it looks like a real nice setup to get me going so I might get that, I know DB dont have a great rep but the spec on this is good and it only costs 215 which is good!
