I still havent been able to ride due to my broken collarbone issue a few months back but just cruising it around the house felt really good. Ive rode tons of frame with a 75.5ht so its nothing new to me. I also like the 11.6 bb, my Marv and Savage frame are higher, I ride the original american made Fiend frame on the regular,. That also has a 11.6 bb which feels really comfortable and performs perfect for me.

Soon Ill be lacing some camo Profile minis up, probably to Ribcages cause Ive done the birdcage for years..switching out the tires, seat...not sure how Ill finish this build put ill post pics.

6'4, I normally run a front load but with the Invest forks, they shortened the steerer tube. From that I needed a more minimal topload. I may cut the steerer tube to drop everything a bit lower, won't know until I can start riding again.

Honestly it would be best to get smaller bars and use the same stem or get a taller stem. Taller bars are weaker and slip more. Pretty much anything over 9" is dumb. 11" is just fucking retarded. 8.75" bars with an uncut steerer tube and tall stem will be lighter, stiffer, and slip less.

But the bike looks sick, with the exception of the bars. They kinda kill the rest of the bike for me.

That bar setup is to low for me. I've tried 10's with a more rise stem as well..??I've done all the combinations , mathematically too. Perfect height for me is a 170mm steerer tube, 11 bar and 7rise front load stem. 10 rise bar and 30mm rise stem creates the same height as well. 9 rise bar and 30mm topload is the same as running 10 rise bar with a front load...could do an 8.75 bar with a 35mm stem and still be the same. .I've been through multiple combinations. I've never had any problems with my bars slipping and I'm a heavy rider. 11 rise may be stupid to some but then riders half my size rocking a topload with 8.5-9 rise bars would be stupid ...as it falls into the same concept. If its suggested I should be riding a smaller setup then others half my size should be in that 7 rise bar or lower category. I've had others ride my bike and say comments how the bars are huge but for my size, it works out...and I'm easily a foot taller then them. Some may not like how certain parts look but when riding, shits dialed. Im comfortable and have full trust in my setup. I've been through a lot of these lighter, butted bars and I can easily flex them, only ones that feel super stiff are the Tree Super Moto...weight is lighter but they feel just as stiff as my S@M straight gauge bars , I also prefer the upsweep.

Thanks man, I'm waiting for that day I can ride again. Probably another 2 months of physical therapy..Camp hubs arrive tomorrow, Ribcages next week..Looking forward to building some wheels, its been a while.

ah yeah that will be sick, so has the blind already arrived then? and i know the pain of not being able to ride for ages due to bad injuries, broke my ankle twice this year haha

Yep, I bought Blind hub when it was first available, I knew it would sell out...thought it would go quicker though. NWill most likely build that to a birdcage from taking a wheel I have a part. Really wanted to hear everyones opinion on it first. Not riding sucks, but I guess being out during this freezing weather is in my behalf. I do normally ride in it though.

so youre gunna lace one to a ribcage and one to a birdcage? dont see anything wrong with that, why spend when you dont have too, and yeah winter sucks even worse in england haha, but i try riding when i can

Profile camo hubset to ribcages, blind to a bird. I know of that England weather, horrible. Its was nice during the time I was there, not even one day of rain.

These arrived today and Ribcages arrive Monday. I was thinking about trying out those new Eclat Mercury rims but, ribs are bombproof and Ive been on Gsport rims for years. I can trust them

Havent been able to ride with my injury and the shit weather we are having over here. As Im familiar with the geo and brand I know it'll ride amazingly. Ive been on the very first american made Fiend frames for awhile now and thats holding up like its still brand new.
