Well, technically speaking, you can go as fast on this bike as you can with a bike twice as light of any kind with practice, but if you mean changing the gearing to make you go farther per pedal crank, go with a larger sprocket. 28t or 30t+ will improve speed, but going uphill is a nightmare.

Didn't we do this already?

decent entry level bike- go hit your local track and get some grove learned in, then go get a shovel and hit the dirt jumps. have fun with it.

Better high pressure tires will make it go faster. 1.95 or 2.10 wide.

Also you can step up the gearing to 28 T or 30 T at the most.

Besides that there's not much you can do.

Thinner, higher-pressured tires. Higher gearing ratio (bigger sprocket to driver ratio). Tight cranks/drivetrain so no losses of efficiency. Past those there's little on the bike I can think of that would anything for speed, like I doubt weight would make a difference it's hard to imagine dropping several pounds from the bike would matter (unless it was in the wheels! But I doubt you're looking to build new wheels, although if you were then reducing rotating mass with lighter wheels would help too)

10/11 on the back and 28/30+ on the front.
Buy maxxis dth kevlar tires. They are very good to make a bike faster
