well as far as parts go- you should probably switch out to a 3-peice crank as soon as possible. Not super sure how compatible that big sprocket will be with modern cranks, bike shop can double check that for you- your could also try tracking down some Odyssey Excalibar cranks.... but Odyssey Thunderbolts or Profiles would be the best upgrade for your crank at the moment. that one piece crank will bend quick when you start riding ramps and stuff

when you do change your cranks out- theirs 48-Spline(shown in the Profile Cranks) as well as 8-Spline. either or would work fine for you for right now. But Cranks are kinda important on a bike. so stronger the better- personally i'm about to get thunderbolts i think. but ya know. any 2 or 3 piece crank will be an upgrade from that one piece crank. you Might also have to change your bottom bracket bearings out(you should have an "American" sized bottom bracket*bb for short* so just go off that- and whatever I.D. in the bearings that the cranks you pick call for. you'll also need some 7/16ths pedals too because your current pedals wont fit into the new cranks. I run Shadow Raptor plastic pedals, other people like Odyssey JCPC's or Odyssey Twisted pedals, or animal pedals. all are good.

so to sum up- Cranks/bottom brackett/ pedals change those out and you'll not have to worry about much of anything.

died? thats a bit harsh no, real life just kinda pushing at the moment, I've got the parts still. but she ended up getting a Sunday Spark from her new bf(as his little brothers bike apparently) so ive decided the parts i do have ill keep until i can salvage some bikes from the landfill and fix them up and give some cheapos to kids (keep the good parts for the raffle) and I'll have a good bmx I'll probably raffle off on vital thinking of making it into a slimJim Guy tribute bike not to sure yet. I'll probably do a vote for it... but im still missing some major parts, cranks, bearings, ya know. so it may be awhile

Cheers man. I'm starting to understamd BMXing now and I know what you mean. I was recently thinking about getting a 2 peice. I'll eventually get them it's just that my standard mongoose cranks are pretty sturdy science the bikes big and heavy pretty much everything about it is realliable. Except the brakes. There so small and can't stop such a heavy bike so I replaced them. Cheers for the advics bro.

Had a look online and can't seem to find my exact mongoose model out there. I'm not looking for the same color just the model of bike. Did some research and Mongoose only made my exact model for a short period of time. If you guys see my bike model anywhere post it here because I need to know if there's any more out there. I could be one of the only ones with this model! blink
