Thanks man! Yeah, I've seen your bike posted, it's sweet! I just finished stripping the paint to RAW...the 2014 stock paint in bright neon yellow was way too flashy for me!!!

Looks sweet, the raw is great. Did you clearcoat it or leave it bare metal?

Thanks! No, I did not clearcoat it...I sprayed the inside and outside of the frame with WD-40 Corrosion Inhibitor.

FOLLOW-UP: Two years and no rust...

About every 6 months I hit the frame surface real quick with steel wool and wipe it down with WD-40 Corrosion Inhibitor sprayed on a rag.

Great job with the raw. I rawed a frame once but never got the paint off all the welds. Yours is clean. Lets see you hit some trails now on it!

Sorry to revive this old thread but...I have this same bike and am considering this vs paint/powdercoat for simplicity. This looks pretty sick! No issues with corrosion at all with your technique?
