looks awesome, i also want to raw my bsd wza when 1 year warranty is over. was the paint of your beverage translucent? if so, how did you raw it and what did you apply to it to cover it against the rust?

first, thank you guys.

Yes, it was translucent green but I took it out of the box and already could peel the paint off with a finger...
I bought some paint stripper and dappled it on the paint with a hard pvc brush until i saw blank metal, otherwise it dried too fast.

But since it took me 2 days to do so, I just did it at the welds to keep that heat-coloring and simply did the rest with sandpaper.

After stripping and cleaning it (with alcoholic spirit), I clear coated it out of a gloss clear spray can.

ok thanks! i thought that i could raw it using a cutter lol, because the paint chips really easily, and when it gets scratched it seems like i would be able to remove the paint as it is was a sheet.

Don't get tricked, it doesnt chip that easy on every inch.
Also it looks awful when you scratch it with a cutter.

That bike is beautiful.. Congrats on a seriously dope build!

looks really clean, big fan of the raw good job stripping it loving the welds !
did you have to cut tha steer tube to get the stem "slammed"

|

1/23/2014 3:08 PM

WOW - Im glad how much my ride is appreciated.

Yes, I cut the fork down to slam the stem, I hate spacers, even on my cranks.

It may be a pegless streetriders wet dream, but I actually am one of those stylecats you meet in parks and at bowls.
Like, my god of bmx would be Matt Roe or Richard Forne.

Nevertheless, I still built my bike to hold up my abusing.

That back tire looks fucking massive!

Honestly? Who gives a shit. Its the fucking internet. I hate all of you equally.

Yeah maybe, but the front one is still more massive. Since I got the air pressure right though.

You will get it. I only have to wait for a sunny day in this snowy winter time.
I also want to show off with my new Brake system, which brake arms are just 1mm away from the tire :D

But as long as there is no sun, there will be no quality pictures.

|

That's a really awesome(Eddie Cleveland-esq) ride! There is something about an eccd seat and DLR stem that warms my heart. Wish I held onto my gold DLR I got years back.

Had one from 2010 before, it broke. I hope the new one lasts forever.
Im still using the old front cap because of the nice artsy Fit logo on it smile
Eddies rides were my favourites while he used that stem/seat combo and Im digging it on any bike.

Those looked well on my old setup too though:

Definitely need to get more pictures of this beauty! So well thought out, everything looks right, like it has its perfect place on the Bike. I know I've already commented on this, but I'm gunna comment again! Like I said, everything has it's place & I LOVE how well thought out Your Bike is! Only thing I don't like is the mixed Tyres! Need's matching Tyres! I think either the

1.Grey/Black Wall BSD Donna-Squeaks
2. Gum Top/Black Wall Fit T/A Folding
3. Fit 2.40" FAF-K Folding

Would suit Your Bike the best, In that order haha. The Grey/Black Donna-Squeaks look so great with Raw Frames & Your Self Raw'd Beverage deserves a set of really, really sweet Tyres smile grin

Wow, dude. Thank you.
I, in fact, thought alot about parts to put on the bike aswell as customizing some of them.

But the only matching tires i would ride would be two of the Premium Front.
Simply because its the longest lasting, fattest light tire out there.
Too bad it doesnt fit in the frame though.

Donnasqueaks indeed look nice, but i wouldnt ride tires any other colour than black.
Also i wouldnt bet on them lasting long since they're made in 2013/2014 - year of "throw away and buy new"
So do the Fit Tyres. I already had some two years ago and they didnt last over 5 months each.

Now since the frame starts getting rusty, I need to think again...
