I ride on a set of 100 psi street rtires but i never really saw the advantage of having such a high psi capability.
the tires get really hard and landing kinda hurts your hands
100psi cant be good for your spokes either
I only run 75 psi up front and 80 in the back

what are the pros of riding 100 psi

55 front
65 back

i just like my tires pumped up enough so they arent soft. plus it makes less friction on the ground so you go faster

i usually run from 95-110 depending on if i have a pump at the time or not. i just like the hard tires, and it makes my bike really fast.

I run about 105 rear and 95 to 100 front just rolls forever. And I'm not a small dude gotten pinch flats around 50 psi

|

7/12/2012 3:49 PM

i just pump my tires untill i can barely push them in

I used to run as low as 50. Now that i've been riding with 90 psi for the past few months i cant even ride lower psi anymore. I guess some benefits is you roll faster and it helps your rims whenever you case

|

less effort to pedal. i dont seem to get as many punctures with hard tyres than as soft but when u think abolut it high psi should result in higher likelynes to get punctures. anyway, i run about 80 for both.

|

I run about 60-70 psi in the front and about 80 in the back when i first got my bike i got so many snake bikes i just bought a patch kit and patched them all up. I have about 12 snake bikes on my back and front tires combined. I guess you just have to learn how to land soft and i havent had a problem with my wrists

|

7/12/2012 6:51 PM

running 100 psi helps against pinch flats and bent rims

|

7/12/2012 6:57 PM

80 in the front 95 in the back

I do normally 80, i tried pumping it up to 100psi once and my tube exploded at around 90psi, loudest thing i have ever heard in my life and went deaf in one ear for a few hours, never tried it since but i think it was cause my air compressor gauge was broken so i probably put like 150psi haha.

i run lots. normally 110 but latley ive been letting them go around 90-100. i like to have my bike ride like a rock, everyone hates it. i have the stiffest bike ever, stiff AF wheels, high psi. tight chain, everything dialed rock solid
