Hi,

I am new on this platform. My name is Lars. I am 41 years old. My ride is a WTP Versus from 2012 and I am from Germany.

Here is my question concerning 2.4 tires.
I started to build a new bike for my wife. She wants to run big tires on it. So there is the 2.4 option.
It is a 20" Sunday Radocaster frame and a 20" Premium FYP fork.
Here is my question.
Will 2.4 tires fit on frame and fork ? Is there someone who made some experience with the set-up ?

greetings
Lars

This article confirms it for the frame.

Unsure about the fork.

I think its safe to say if it is a complete, it would have the same or larger clearance for the fork considering a lot of people get the same size tire as the rear or larger, not the other way around.

That being said...you never know.

Have you measured your fork? Not all 2.4 tires are the same size when inflated. Especially if you run non-typical tire pressures.

Put the wheels from your bike on and check for clearance. You only need about 2mm on either side of a 2.3" tyre in order to safely fit a 2.4".

Keep in mind, the rear might depend on chain lenth. I had to add a chain link on a bike i was running slammed when i went up a tire size.

I set up my wife’s 2017 Performer with 2.35 LP-5’s front and rear and there was a lot of clearance. I doubt you will have an issue, even jumping from a 2.1 wide to a 2.4 it only adds about 1/8 inch to each side.

Hi, I ride the same tires. After riding a few times they feel comfortable. I like them riding in the park. They have a great grip.
