Found a lightly used Mirraco No.7 for $160 on my local facebook marketplace. The little bit of research I've been able to do makes me think this is a good deal, but I'd like the opinion of someone familiar with Mirraco's or that No.7 in particular.

Maxxis foldable grifters , I’m in Canada , parts are way more pricey up here

Wow. I have a Grifter in the back and I think it cost me 40 pounds it's about a year old though and looks like I'll get another year from it so It was definitely worth it. Must suck having parts be so expensive.

meh, it was a $430 bike new

it's full chromoly at least, frame, fork, bars and crank. double wall rear rim too, but it lacks sealed hubs which if they weren't maintained, they could be in rough shape. overall not a horrible bike though. I'd say offer him a little less and see if he bites

I think it's too much. You could find a custom aftermarket build for a little more than that. Don't buy used stock stuff.
