Anybody ever use this ratio?
its works out to a 3.0
currently using 25/9 which works out to 2.8
using a crank length of 170mm
It sounds really good... and I'd like to try it but that would mean changing my chain and sprocket out and yeah, would like to get some opinions about it first.

Tried 28\9. And I like it, it's fast but hard to pedal when riding uphill! Building my flatstreet setup with that ratio. 27/9 I say would be nice.
You say BMX is your life but you barely ride.

It's a nice ratio, I rode that for a while before making the switch to 28-9.

Id do it 28/9 is amazing so 27/9 should feel about the same with alittle less resistance

I highly recommend it. Its pretty fast, just about the same as 28/9 and has a little better acceleration. Its great.

I used to ride 30 10 wich is the same it's pretty good, switched to 30 9 though I like it even more

yeah I'm gonna switch to 27/9 just gotta find a good sprocket that can hold up,
the Odyssey Hawk sprockets look really good and im sure their strong as that iceburg that killed that one boat... I was looking at Profiles but i hear they bend allot, and my sprocket is bent now so....................

What chain are you going to use? My son is running 28/9 & it's amazing compared to 25/9. Seems like less pedal effort

not sure, If i can find a hallow keychain yes, if not, I might use an odyssey bluebird.
I apparently have a bird thing going on with my bike...
Shadow crow sticker... shadow parts, DK owl headtubesticker, Dugan grips (have a feather on them) eh its cool I like birds

i ran 27/9 for about five years best ratio ever! i had to switch to 28/9 due to needing a guard sprocket, feels pretty similar.

25:9 feels like your pedaling and going nowhere after trying 27:9.
All I need to say is 27:9 feelsgoodman!

im not good at all the ratio/conversion stuff, not sure if this helps but ive used 28/9 forever and i love it. i used to use 175mm cranks but ive since switched to 165mm and noticed a difference. dude got on my bike and said "this feels like 27/9".
