I'm a 5'9" rider getting in to bmx and I just recently ordered the Fit Pledge 2016 Model, which has a 20" top tube and that is concerning me as online I cannot find a single instance where someone my size would use a tt under 20.5. Will I be ok? Thoughts? Anything I need to know? Thanks a million.

You should be fine. I'm 5'9" and the lowest I'd go is a 20.5" toptube.

I'm 5'10" and pretty new to bmx (though I'm in my 30s). I ride a 20.5 tt but I'd ride a 20. I actually tried the Fit Pledge at a local bike shop and thought it was fine. Changing the stem to a top-load could give you a little more room if you wanted.

When I first started reading up on bmx online, everything I read about rider height me think that I would need a 21 tt. So that's what I got for my first bmx bike, and even though it was comfortable to ride, it never felt right when I was trying to hop. I finally sold it on craigslist to a kid who was much taller than me. The experience made me want to get a 20 (or even a 19.5!). The only reason I got a 20.5 is because I decided to go cheap for my 2nd bike, and that's the size the Mongoose Mode 900 comes in.

I'm 5'9 and rode a 20"tt sunday new wave. It felt decent but was way too small for a lot of tricks. I also has 7.75x22 inch bars. I'd recommend 20.5-20.6
