Hey im about 5"6 I've been riding 8"25 bars and ive hated them and im getting new bars. 9" or 8.5?

when I was 5' 6" I rode 8.7 sunday tall t they felt amazing rode till last month no problems at all, tried new odyssey sand bars 9 rise same upsweep feels great also now Im 5' 10"

8.5 and a tl sounds good for your height. i'm 5ft 11 and i ride 8.75 on a tl and feels good

I'm a bit above 5'7" and ride 8.5 with a front load up from 8.25. Feels great. I think if you jump to 9" it'll exaggerate your top load and stack height to the point of feeling pointless. Go 8.5 I say!

odyssey double spacebars or sunday tall t bars both around 8.7 rise they are perfect with a topload I tried 8.5 with topload still felt too small

This, make sure you have as many Spacers as possible too, and a Fit High Top Stem. Also make sure they're wide enough too, so get some Deluxe Bar Extenders and cut down the Grips so your hand are further out on the Bars.

I'm running 8.75" Macs with a Challenger. Way too big and wide for me. Getting 8" Beringer XLTs with a Fit Sky High soon. Should be a bit smaller and a lot narrower.
9" is ridiculous.

I feel like 9" is overkill. I'm 6'5" and I do 8 5/8" bars with a low topload. Mike Hoder is like 6'6" (i read that in Albion, may not be 100% right) and his signature bars are 8 5/8" as well. But whatever, do what's comfy for you.

[i]I hate them cause they gave me a back problem from riding them for a year or two. Anyways i got my self a set of The Set Blackout bars in a 9". and i love em', turndowns and barspin are so much easier and look much better.

Im going to say the 9" rise. i rode 9.5" for ages and loved it then went to the smallest i've ever ridden and i love it (8.25") just feels like i make myself lift the bike higher when I'm trying tricks. But the higher rise was great for me when i was starting because i was tall 191cm and felt like i had more control
