this trick is a fucking bitch for me to learn for some reason, is this getting close to being a turndown or would it just be considered a bonered out x-up?

I did the one time I'm pretty sure, but of course my fucking phone fell over cause the wind blew it ):

It's just a bitch for me figuring out the kick motion, my friends who have them dialed said to take like half a crank & kick out with that, or something like that

its cuz your fuck footed.. I know it may be awkward but try the other way. It might be easier since you will have more room.

not fuck footed with this, for once. right foot forward, turn the bars counterclockwise

Looks just about there. Just gotta get that bar behind your leg as said above.

Also, I was told a proper turndown is behind your back leg. It looks like your turning towards your front which is considered a look-back.

Ive seen worse called turndowns. I would say yes this is close. Your Bars should be over your leg though, not inbetween them.

I'm turning to my back foot, might just be the angle. & yeah I'm working on them, couple times I smacked my bars on my right thigh trying to get it to go passed it haha, still trying to figure it out. But yeah it looks a bit more like a look back, usually when I see turndowns the wheels are straight up & down, but look backs the wheels are like flat, next to each other sorta. that or I don't understand the difference at all haha

Workin on it haha, I need to get my bike more vertical & I think turning the bars in will then go over my legs

Turn down = back foot
Look back = front foot

Thats my understanding. Personally I cant even get a good attempt on turn downs. I can tuck my bar behind my leg on a look back though it still looks like shit lol.

the angle is wierd. In that case just straighten the arm closest to the camera.

Also, you look like youre afraid of the bar. Youre leaning totally away from it which is probably why it wont go behind your leg. Not positive, but im pretty sure youre supposed to stay over the frame. Youre over your right crank. Lol.

That makes sense, I guess haha I've just been told different things on what a lookback is so I really don't know

I think x-ups & 180 x-ups fucked me up for learning turndowns, every time I used to try turndowns I would end up just doing a weird x-up & spinning slightly

for a turndown if you had a brake lever it should be stuck in your pocket.

When attempting almost any kind of trick that requires the bike to be tucked in, like tuck no handers, you should always be in the half crank position with the feet.

from what ive always understood a turndown and look back are both towards the back foot, it just depends how you do it, eg if you turndown air youl do a turndown/lookback and spin toward your back foot, whereas a lookback air is a 'switch' air towards your front foot and turning toward your back foot, a look back is generally flat whereas a turndown is vert or near vert, what sunday is doing is closer to a lookback in my opinion. i found that lookbacks were easyer to learn on a switch hip where u almost 180 as it makes it easier to lock it in, then eventually i just took them to everything else, love turndowns now haha

A turndown and a lookback are both towards your back foot, as it there isn't enough room to do it the other way round. The difference is a lookback is done in an opposite (for a non-goofy person) air.
