so i've got a G-Sport Homer hub, 48 hole, and after examining it for a little bit the only difference between it and a marmoset is the freewheel threading and a little bit of excess aluminum coming off of the hubshell to the freewheel threading, other then that it looks like a marmoset. except 14mm bolts...

anyways... do YOU guys think it can possibly be "modified" to be a 14mm marmoset?

i reckon it could be done but it would take some work... and youd have to use 48h on a front wheel which is extremely unneccesary

No, because you would have to cut off the metal, clean it up, possibly move a bearing inside it in further, and chances are good something would go wrong. I wouldn't chance it. I would just save some cash man.

Yea, sounds like he wants to cut off the threading used for a freewheel and turn it into a front hub.

The flanges are bigger on the Homer, same with the Monkey. Probably has something to do with the fact that he can get a 48h Homer for real cheap off Odyssey's site.

Biggest problem is that rear hubs are 10mm wider than front ones, so you would need to modify or make a new axle and collars too...
