Any advice for a young rider?

Hey my names dutch. IM about five 4 and pondering getting an 18 inch. The only issue is i ride trails and barely park. have some questions about stability and whatnot.

You are too big already for an 18, get a 20’’ with a small top tube, it will fit better and also better for what you plan to do.
And if you keep growing, you’ll just have to switch for a bigger frame instead of a whole bike.
Beside that, ride everything and have fun.

5’4 and wanting an 18 inch , do you plan on driving a clown car aswell ?

Yup, just get a 20”. It’ll be a waste of money to buy an 18” only to step up to a 20” a year or two later. As Francky said, it’ll likely be best to find a short TT. Who knows, maybe you’ll like the feeling of it in the future. I’m 5’, 7” comfortably riding a 19.69” frame.

thanks dude. Im currently saving up for a shorter frame, im on a 20.75 and getting the bars in my lap for tucks is damn near impossible. i just didnt know what size to go to for trails.
