Merrit Multi Tool!

I used to have the DK random wrench which was the shit! But I lost it and this is actually pretty cheap for a multi tool and riding street/filming those multi tools saved a lot of space and noise.

Experiences? Anyone rocking Merrit stuff yet?

i usually cruise with this:

Works well for now because I'm pegless with female axles so i don't need ratchets and it's really solid + chainbreaker and spoke wrenches are built in

Yeeah the one flaw with the DK random wrench was no chain breaker but I mean I got spoke wrenches and chain breaker covered so I can get away with the merit one all its missing is a big brick of wax really and you're all set to go ride all day

have you heard anything about the animal multi-tool? pretty much combines the merrit and crank bros but also costs more than both which would be good if you don't have all the extra stuff but already having spoke wrenches and a chain breaker not really necessary. I might check out that merrit once i put pegs back on. roll with that and the crank bros to be safe and have all bases covered

im curious to see how the pin, that allows it to hinge, will hold up. i have a small tool bag (actually a cosmetic bag) that i keep a ratchet, socket, and 6mm adapter in. i dont need anything else so this would be a nice replacement.

I have a friend who had the animal kotuak and apperently it wasn't that great and heard that on the interweb too for a while back then when it came out but actual personal experience with it I don't got, too pricey for me at the moment

Ratchet, 3mm allen, 5mm allen, and 6mm allen will take apart my bike. Super easy

I have the DK Random and this S&M wrap. I prefer the wrap due to less weight and flexability.

honestly, ive never had a problem taking my tools out. ratchet and socket are two pieces, set of allen keys, so technically its all one piece, spoke key is ALWAYS in the front of my bag with wallet, id etc, so really, i dont see the point in spending money to condense the amount of tools i have. 3 things to throw it my bag really isnt hard.

I think to me and some those are household/auto tools we carry and a bmx specific all-in-one tool would be better so you can keep your other set where they belong, also I just like to think of it as supporting a bmx company too

No need. I like my tools and I don't really mind carrying them in a back pack when I ride.

I honestly might.

I hate carrying bags around, and it would be great for trips to places where you have to drive, but leave the car sit somewhere. Obviously you don't wanna carry around a bulky ratchet & shit with you, and this thing would come in handy if someone's wheel shifted when you're far from the car. Or if you get a flat tire, and are right near a shop or a Wal-Mart or something, then you can easily take your wheel off & fix it without backtracking to the car. And finally, it looks fairly small/not that bulky so you could probably fit it in your pocket without it being too big of a bother.

I always carry a 6mm allen key around though, and spoke wrench. But obviously not a 17mm socket/extension.

Random wrench I have has spoke wrenches...

Just needs a chain tool.

But seriously, most of the time I drive to the park, so tools just chill in my car.
