Basically I wanna run whitewalls on my new build, i have a new faf 2.25 and a premium 2.25 front. Im loathed to get another faf and i love the premium but they dont do whitewalls.

All the hotrod dudes used to paint whitewalls on their cars, so would it look decent on a bike tyre? You can buy whitewall paint so its got me thinking, has anyone made their own whitewalls?

Euan,
i really think we are some of the last people in our generation to do DIY projects. My little brothers wont paint or make anything custom for their bikes. They just rather buy them, Ive seen kids make their own whitewalls with just spray paint, I think you could def do it if you use the right stuff. Most tires even have a little ridge around the side of the tire that you can use as a guideline. I say go for it!

White electrical tape might work, but there are more options for white walls these days. By the time you find a good way to do it you could have just bought one of these tires.

Definately possible, someone on here put a bike check where they painted their entire bike a light blue color and did the same for his tire walls, and I think it was the duplicolor one was what he used

Lol, you haven't been to my house, i've painted over 30 frames within the last year.

as for the white walls, theoretically it would work with white wall paint, wouldn't hurt to try.

Try it on a old tire first to see how it turns out.

Good plan bloghogs!
I could buy new tyres...but tyres have increased massively in price...i have 2 perfectly good tyres here in black wall. Secondly my favourite tyre is the premium refuse resist which is a whopping 2.5 inches wide but does not come in white wall

Il buy some white wall paint and then let you guys see how it goes!
