Has anyone out there tried the Alienation tubeless tires yet, or have the tires always been unavailable to regular people? I was thinking the Felon rims would be good for street and park, wondered if anyone had experience with them?

No you put in like a special rim strip and the tire has a valve stem and you just fill it up with air. Cars use them, mountain bikes use them but I don't know how much pressure they hold. Not sure they'd work best for park n street but I'm sure they work fine for trails and racing. If other companies start producing them, I might try em but not too impressed myself.

If mountain bikes can use them why shouldn't we?

maybe not because it's bad, just cus nobody wanted to try it. or it might suck. alienations slider seat flopped too even tho it was a good idea. seems to be hit and miss with what bmx consumers adopt and reject.

From what I have read, I wouldn't mind giving them a go. A bit less weight, rotating weight and maybe a better ride. I might just try the rear first when I upgrade my wheel or rim.

Yeah the sliding seat was pretty cool,i still run a railed simply because i have the ability to adjust it loads.
the average bmx consumer doesn't want that

true. im guessing most people dont have problems with tubes other than the occasional flat so kinda the same deal. if it aint broke dont fix it.

Tubeless allows lower PSI and it is almost impossible to get a pinch flat. However you COULD burp the tire off the rim in a hard sideways landing.
They use a little Stans to prevent puncture flats.
Some MTB's use em as lower PSI can mean better traction as more of the tire hits the ground. Cars do, lots of Motorcycles do, pretty much all other avenues of pneumatic tires have tubless setups.
It also ends up typically being lighter.
Again, less pinch flats is the main goal, as well as less weight.

Yeah it involved some tire sealant shit, a tube, and I forget what else (if anything)
Basically you'd seal the tire, cut the tube down the center on the outside and then a few other steps. I can't remember, video's so old.

Alienation is legit, have yet to have a bad rim from them. I personally wouldn't run this system though until it's proven to withstand serious abuse by a good amount of people. Also, im kinda disappointed Alienation doesn't offer any heavy duty rims anymore. 7ups were the best rims on the market no doubt. My SS Runaways came out of true a little more often than i was willing to deal with, but what can you expect from a 14oz rim? (Mind you im 230lbs)

So, what are the actual Alienation Felon rims like by themselves? Are they decent enough for street riding, even if we don't fit the tubeless tires?

Rode mine for over a year without them coming.out of true once. Relaced them and rode them for probably another half year. I was truing my hazards every other month aswell as my SS Runaways. Have only had my Rollcages for a couple months and they were beginning to come out of true. 7ups weighed 19.4oz if i recall correctly, they were just some thick, sturdy bastards. Best rim ive ever rode by far.
