I was wondering if I bought this and attached it on the outside of my fork if it would be sturdy enough? Any thoughts? I feel it will be an easier fix than changing the axle all together.

These Verde wheels are cheap and the front axle seems to be pretty long...

Its a complete bike so im finding details on the hubs is going to be near impossible.

I don't trust adapters as I have many of the Husky, but I just picked up a female front axle and...I like. Looks REAL sturdy.

I think I'd rather change the axle than buy a new rim, hub, etc. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried this adapater before and if it would work.

That’s a stupid statement , it’s not rocket science to find the parts lists for most complete bikes , sounds like someone’s embarrassed of their bike , what complete is it

If it's unsealed any bike shop will have one in stock. If it's sealed, take the axle out and measure the distance between the shoulders.

Edit: just to add. If you put one of those adapters on, you'll bend the shit out of your axle

Doesn't really matter, A male 3/8th axle is substantially weaker than a 3/8th female axle. even if you're Axle was long enough I wouldn't recommend running pegs on a 3/8th male.

Those seem extremely sketchy. I can't see you getting a decent amount of clamp against the fork with those.

Ok so uh...just to recap:

- Those adapters seem sketchy
- Even if they weren't sketchy, you're putting them on an axle size and setup that is known to be weaker than what's become the standard
- Chances are high that if you buy the adapters and slap them on a 3/8" male axle, attach a peg and start grinding, SOMETHING somewhere is going to give.

While it's true you're probably not going to find all that much detailed info on the hub, the chances are it's not aftermarket. So it's unsealed, 36h alloy with a 3/8" male axle. Long story short, not the most ideal setup for grinding so adding adapters isn't going to change that.

My best advice is to save up, buy a female front hub and lace that up. I copped an Animal Javelin female front hub this weekend for $50.

Thanks man. I'll probably search for a decent priced hub and get it laced.

Here’s a picture of the front axle on a Bama complete

Clearly enough room for pegs , so you’re an idiot who cut down his axles to save weight and didn’t compensate for pegs is what you’re trying to say ?

But seriously. You all need to chill out a bit. I'm the first one to start a debate if I disagree with a statement someone has made, but getting personal and calling out someone's ability/knowledge is a bit shitty.
