Looking at selling our 2006 Honda civic and purchasing a newer used car that gets good gas mileage. looks good with a bike rack and a couple bikes on top and is dependable to make frequent cross country road trips for bmx shenanigans with the lady and 3yr old son. Just curious what you guys are driving. We have a full size chevy silverado but id rather not drive that around the country.

was considering VW GTI pretty heavily.

if you can find a honda element get that, that was the best bmx vehicle I ever had. the inside was all plastic and the seats could fold up against the side for cargo space.

I like my Toyota Sienna. Stow the back seats and easily fit at least 3 20" bikes without taking the front wheel off. Yeah it's a mini van but it's AWD and not bad on gas for a V6.

Grand theft auto made me realize it’s easier to just car jack someone if I want to go somewhere

The reason I chose the wagon version of the Subaru Impreza wrx is because it has a ton of room when you fold (or remove) the rear seats. I had a roof rack on at one point but I got tired of other people asking me to carry bikes.

Take a look at some Volvo's too, if you want dependability and good MPG. Something like a V50/V70 Wagon would be nice and they look dope.

Our Mazda3, with half the split back seat down, fits our bikes (a 20, a 24, a 16 (stacked)) + 1 full size human in the back. We did get a rear rack but it's a proper ball-ache. I'd rather just chuck em in the back and go go go.

I have a
2004 Ford F150 4x4 that I put bikes in the bed of or over the tailgate and I have a
2005 Chevy Trail Blazer that has trailer hitch bike mount that will carry up too four bikes.

Also have Utility trailer that I pull with either to put my SxS, ATVs or Bikes on... But I hate pulling a trailer.

1995 honda odyssey is really perfect for a couple people on a trip. Astro van is perfect for a couple more people on a road trip.

I have a VW golf mk6 with a bike boot rack(works well). Can use this to find what your best option is with moving your bike around with your car.

We've got one car between us. I died a little on the inside, but bought a compact SUV for the wife. Easy to drive, loads of space, light on fuel, bland as anything.

The BMX is easy to chuck in the back, the road and mountain bikes go on a towbar hitch-mounted rack. I thought about roof racks, but they kill fuel economy and I'm not the tallest guy so lifting bikes on and off the higher SUV would have been a chore (plus the danger of driving under low barriers).

I need to get a BMX rack for my motorcycle!

cool
