it's up to you, i personally hate wide bars.

I like my bars at 27.5-28, I've ridden wider and smaller. I can barspin 30's.. width doesn't factor in much imo. Lean over and scoot your ass back when you throw. If your bars are hitting your hip.. it's you who's not doing something wrong, not your bars.

And hell no it won't look funny. Not unless you cut them to like 25 or someshit lol.

It's your choice. It will look funny if you cut it down too much; I know someone that has Bars that were originally 9x30 but he cut them down to 27 and it does look weird. But if it's what you prefer then it doesn't matter one bit.

24" wide by 8" high. Tried wide bars and they are just goofy, bars and x-up variations are much faster an snappier without feeling like im trying to turn a bus around.

If you are 6'+ then bigger bars are understandable but 28 wide is enough.

Im 5'5" and find 27 way too wide, a good way of measurin how wide your bars should be is shoulder width.

Think about it, do pull ups with your arms inline with your shoulders and then outwards from your shoulders, the leverage you get is significantly easier inline.

Keep tall/wide bars for shit like tailwhips and turndowns
Have smaller/shorter bars for barspins and tbogs

^ Explain please? I can turndown on smaller bars easily and my whips come around just as fast on any size bar.

Should really learn good technique rather than adapt your bike to one trick.

Should really ...more

I have an extra pair of spare bars.

When doing, errr , attempting barspins , I use the smaller bars.
If I'm switching styles for a bit and doing whips/more flow I'll throw on bigger bars.
