Barspin problems

Okay so I've been practicing barspins for months now and i can never land one. I ride (right foot forward) and i throw with my (left hand). I know your supposed to throw with your right if your right foot forward but i can't. It's uncomfortable and i hate it. I have an indoor bike and i always land barspins with that. But whenever i go to my regular bike to barspin the front end (always) drops before i get a chance to grab the bars. Its ridiculous. Im not comfortable doing barspins on a fly out, only bunny hops. By the way i have a lot of commitment and im not afraid so thats not the problem. Please don't tell me to pinch the seat and stuff because i cant. Ive tried countless times to even touch the seat with my legs, knees, shines, whatever, in the air and it just doesn't happen. However i do pinch the cranks. I throw the bars when im at the apex of my hop. Im not hucking the bars, im not throwing them in a downward motion either. I always keep the front end of the bike elevated just a bit. But no matter what the front end always drops. I really need some advice. Keep in mind i have watched (every) youtube video on how to barspin. Yes (every) barspin how to video and i've read countless articles on the internet on this trick. Iv'e tried busdrivers but whenever i do that, the frame tilts to the left and once again the front end drops. Ive read countless articles on the internet on this trick. Please give me as much advice as you can.

keep your front end a bit higher if it's dropping. Even try half bars first and get used to those. It helped me. Other than that keep at it. Btw I barspin topside too. Left foot forward, throw right handed.

do not ever do a single half bar it'll be the end of barspin progression for months. Idk if u had the set ups around your area but if you take it to a steepish bank then a mellower bank and so on. also don't throw unless you are leveled out and make sure you get the best hop possible when your boutta throw. if you notice your leaning forward don't throw. Also some people accidentally throw on a diagonal down and across the body. Try to throw horizontally so you are not pushing your bars down

Ive tried half bars before. But right now i feel like ive progressed past half bars. I feel more comfortable just throwing full bars. Those are good points though, maybe i am throwing diagonal. Should i try to relearn throwing the bars? Maybe i should spend a month trying to throw right handed instead of left but i dont know. Any other thoughts??

If your seat is too low, pinch your feet together on the cranks.

Or raise your seat.

If you ride pegs this will help you relearn bars. I had the same problem throwing them with the left hand with right foot forward.
put your front foot on the rear peg and grip the seat with your knee and do manny bar spin throws that way. It helped me alot. Could work for you

You have to upload the video to youtube and then post the link to the video here. You just gave a directory of the video on your computer, no one can see it.

Btw, I had exactly the same thing. I used to throw the bars normally, even tried to throw the bars up and the bike went down, bounced off the ground and the bars didn't even have a chance to turn 360 degrees: videos of me:

I just kept practicing and the bike lands normally and I can catch the bars but I always put one or two feet on the ground, idk how to fix that. I think just practice and you will eventually get the right method down and remember, you're not on your own :D

Also, the manny bars on the peg didn't help me at all. I can do them perfectly everytime and catch in the air but it's way different than doing them in the air.

Okay thanks ill definitely try to post it on youtube later. Im new to this vital bmx thing so i don't really know what i'm doing. And yea i agree completely on the manny bars, they didn't really help me at all. And can i suggest to you trying barspins on the indoor bike. I think that will help you keep your feet on. I also noticed that hop barspins are a little easier when i try them on a low bank.
