Hey so I was wondering if anyone could help me get into riding bmx, I'm looking for a budget bike like 200-400$, Erm the only "bmx" bike I have had is like a walmart one so yeah. I'm 5'11 and weigh like 140. I would like just some recommended bikes or what kind of bike I should look for. Thank You!

Is that a good complete bmx bike?

It says it has sealed front and rear hubs and 100% chromoly.

In my opinion the best option is to buy a used bike off something like craigslist as you can get something a lot nicer for the money. Just make sure you do your research and buy something that you can upgrade all the parts down the road

Edit: if u get a good deal i have seen bikes that would cost $1500 new go for $700 used

Not too bad. Downsides are: it has an American bottom bracket. Steel sprocket. Not a bad deal. In think the Mongoose Legion L100 is a better bike but this is a close second.

U know I agree with this! smile Look for one with sealed bearings throughout. MID bottom bracket and headset.

You may as well buy a huge lump of cheddar cheese and ride that instead.

Headset is also not a good quality. But ita really not that bad. I would urge you to stay away from loosball stuff though. Its a bit more picky to get the parts adjusted just right. But looseball works...

Im gonna say go for a legion or shovelhead. The shovelhead will be more of a permanent solution in terms of components. Usually your best bet is to go with the highest dollar you are willing to put forth. That doesnt mean just buy the most expensive bike, still do your research but the eastern will serve you well for a long time if you do end up going with it!

Make sure it fits you height wise though!

21" feels damn good to me im around 5'11"

i bought a complete by sunday not knowing much except get sealed and chromo, my mistake was the rear end length. too short for me "cs length13.25-13.5" on a 20.75tt. i had to buy a new chain to kick back the rear wheel and its sitting pretty close to the end. the way it effected me was i like to land at a sharp angle on my rear wheel and it would kick out from under me. hope this helps a bit
