Eastern Shovelhead is the one of the best bikes you can get for the money.... full Cromoly frame, fork, and bars, double wall rims, sealed hubs and bottom bracket....

Mongoose has a really nice bike in, for around $400. I forget what it's called, but you should check the website. It's their top of the line complete. If it was made by any other company it would probably cost around $6-$700. I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but that's the best bike you can get in that price range. The shovelhead isn't bad either.

That Mongoose is called the Chamber and it's not the nicest bike you can get in that price range. It doesn't even say what the wheels are other than 36 hole and the bars are hi-ten. The Hoffman completes are chromo everything with double wall sealed wheels.

The Lady Luck is also in your price range OP:

And here's a link to the Chamber:

It actually says on that link that the chamber has sealed hubs. But, 8.25 hi ten bars and a front load? In this day and age? They boast it has twisted pedals, which are crap. So it really can't be that good.

Pretty much every bike in any price range is going to be very similar. Some brands offer full chromoly with cheap components, others over not full chromoly with a few after market parts. It's swings and roundabouts really. Pretty much just pick the one you like the look of most, there'll be good and bad things about all of them. I'd buy a bike from a brand I want to support, and be confident it's just as good as any other bike of the same price

I am agreeing with the Shovelhead, the Hoffman for sure, and what grumpysteve said, but would add to his...a full chromoly frame and fork would be the most important buy at first. Replace parts as they break...because they are going to, but make that main skeletal frame a "one time only" purchase at first.

I also think the Colony Inception is a decent bike as well

Isn't there a cheaper mongoose that's full chromoly? That doesn't make sense. I really thought it was. Maybe it's a mistake. The l100 is full chromoly with 48 spline cranks, and $150 less? I don't get it.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. Mongoose is weird these days, most of the bikes I checked out on their site had 8"ish bars and vague wheel descriptions. They mention that they are 36 hole and sealed but no mention of whether or not they are single or double wall.

But isnt a 20"5 frame too small on the kink whip ?? Because the shovelhead is 20"85 I believe. Im 1,75meters at 16 right now. What do you think is the best size??

It is preference. You will most likely get used to any size 20-21.
