What is better for street, bigger or smaller bars. Also, for trails, what is better?

|

12/19/2013 7:58 PM

all depends on height
im 5-6 and i run 7.75's
it doesnt matter
if you are under 5 and a half feet, stick to 8.6 and below
but you can run what you want
wider gives you more comfrot, as the force is distributed across more material
the bigger they are, the less you can pull up
for street, 8.5 is nice
for trails, 8.5 is nice
i ride street and trails about 40-60 and 4pc 7.75 rise works fine

Where could I pick some of these up?

|

you cant, they were discontinued over a year ago
they are worth about 80 in the condition mine are in, if you want to buy mine
you can get animal big fours, same shape, just 8.25 instead

Hmmmm. Maybe sometime in the future, but those specs are perfect. Cool name too.

the scerbos were named after bob scerbo, just saiyan
with four piece bars, they usually have a lot of upsweep, which feels good on the wrists
as for the design, four piece bars are also a lot stiffer, no four piece bars have flex like 2pc bars

my local has Animal Hyrone and they are 7.75", although it's pretty hard to find 8" and smaller these days
I have switched 9" to 8.1" and seems aight to me

Another option is the S&M Smal Slam.

7.5"
3.5 up
11 back

I've found that big bars make it easier to pull up so hops are quicker but lower, while lower bars make hops take more effort but are generally higher. Plus I have more control over my manuals and riding in general with lower bars.

idk its mainly preference man... ive seen some kids riding monster bars doing some crazy shit street

also its in youre style of riding and such

just try something a lil smaller out and see if you like it

and trails, id just think bigger bars would be a lil better

but yet again, I know folks that shred dirt rocking itty bitty bars
