Hi there...

Looking for some cheapish tires. Anyone got any thoughts on the following:
Mission Fleet Tire
Mission Tracker Tire
Fiction Atlas LP Tire
Sunday Current Tire
Kink Sever Tire

and/or best/cheapest place to buy website, nothing local that I can find as of yet.

Thanks

I got a Salt Strike tire because my other 2.4 would fit my frame , ended up getting it in 2.2 and it’s a good tire for 35$ CAD from a shop , 30$ online . I plan on getting one for the front

If you’re okay with skinny tires, check out Maxxis.

I have the Kink Severs on my Dagger and they are decent. Photo

I ride park/street and they're pretty grippy. Only thing is they are only 60psi. I'm kinda heavy so I like my pressure around 80

I bought Mission Fleet 2.3 (widest I will ever go) and cheap but so far hold up good and grip everything I want to ride including dirt. Got them for the price $13.79 each, and not regretting it at all

Not a cheap tire at all but 2.1 foldable maxxis grifters are the best tire I’ve rode so far

Maxxis is making some 2.4s if ya didn't knowsilly They may be out already but I'm not sure becasue Maxxis tires aren't really my thing lol

To the OP, I've never ridden any of the tires you listed, but I would recommend the BSD Donnasqueak tires and the Primo Morrow tire (the Morrow tire inflates to 2.5 so keep that in mind the might not fit all frame/ forks) but I rode my BSD Donnasqueaks for a year or so and they still had a good amount of tread left, I only got new tires becasue I wanted to try some fatter tires lol

Fly Ruben or Alcantera whatever are the best tires out and have been imo. Silk strong sidewall, doesn't shred up. Nice knurling on it so it doesn't get slick and slide out. New slick style tires can't handle gravel patches at all being so wide. Also a pretty 'hard' tire as far as the rubber texture goes. Even the new odyssey tires get too slick on me after just a few weeks. Not saying worn, just slick. Demolition Momentums are also cheap and decent, just wear out quick. That being said I'm on my 3rd set of Rubens

Do you prefer the FAF 2.25 over the 2.1 Mainline, or are they about the same?

My next tire choice will probably be GLH's, but my current 2.4/2.1 Mainline's have been really dialed on all surfaces.

Holy Shit GLH are tough. Recommend it highly, the 2.3 inflates to 2.38 btw-so basically 2.4s

I've only had one mainline, a 2.1 in the front (with a, 2.1 faf on the back) and it cracked really quickly. I still rode it for over a year. But the 2.1 is a little narrow, the 2.4 is too wide for me. The fit faf 2.25 is perfect for me, with the deeper tread than the other sizes. Never had a problem with them, only 2 punctures since I started using them (I put the front one on the rear when the rear is worn out, and a new one on the front. I'm on my 3rd on the rear, they last about 9 months from then, and that's brakeless too). Both punctures caused by big bits of glass I didn't see in the road. Never had a pinch flat and I only run 50psi, and do loads of bump jumps up curbs and stuff

Doesn't the 2.25 Fit FAF inflate to like 2.36 or something like that? So pretty much a 2.4 lol, my 2.4 Morrow tires are 2.5s when inflated...

But I feel you, I was never a huge fan of fat or skinny tires, my 2.25 Donnasqueaks were perfect feeling for me, until I rode my buddies bike with 2.5s and he also ran lower pressure in them (like 40-50 psi) and I absolutely LOVE the feeling of the fat tires imo... and I run 40psi up front and 50 psi in the back...

I've never measured them. But with that logic a 2.4 tyre will be even wider when inflated. I've tried 2.4 and didn't like them, I haven't got a clue what the inflated size was, but they were noticeably wider than a 2.25 faf

And with 2.4 tires, just becasue of that logic some 2.4 tires inflate to smaller than 2.4... my 2.4 Morrow tires like I said inflate to 2.5, but some 2.4s are smaller than 2.4, I'll try to find a 2.4 that is smaller...

2.2 is about perfect for me but there aren't many tyres in that size, on some 2.3 slicks at the minute and as far as crippled me can tell they are alright

Here's the Odyssey Dugan tire, the 2.4 inflates to 2.38 and the 2.3 inflates to 2.2...

Using my caliper the 2.4 Mainline is exactly 2.4" inflated (just under 61mm) and the 2.1" Mainline is exactly 2.24" inflated (just under 57mm).

My old 2.3 Primo WLT's measured at exactly 2.3" inflated.

I'll probably give the 2.25 FAF's a try after the GLH.

Just got my calipers out, out of curiosity. My tyres measure up at 2.28"

Really? Maybe cuz you don't run max psi? I remember you said you only ran 50psi... that could be why.
