Looking to get a new setup. Looking for something that stops quickly and has a lot of braking power. Haven't had to much experience with brakes but like doing tricks with them. Any suggestions for a setup is appreciated.

I have evo 2's as of now They just don't feel very smooth and slip sometimes. I've spent a lot of time tweaking them but not much luck.

Do you ride painted or chome rims it could be your pad color combo

I just installed evo 2s on polished rims and they stop awesome. I am also on a london mod so it has great pulling power for the evos. Was my 1st time setting up u brakes, took a little while to dial them in. I can't complain about them.

I'm ridding a white odyssey 7ka in the back with clear eclat pads. Only reason I'm asking about other brakes is because I was interested in a full eclat or shadow setup

Brakes are brakes, your pad and wheel finish are what matters...also wheel cleanliness. Make sure your pads are not glazed, hit them with some semi aggressive sandpaper if they are. Also check your pad to run contact, make sure the full face of the pad contacts the wheel.

Medium Odyssey Monolever
Tree Linear cable
Kink Desist brake and straddle cable
Kool Stop BMX dual compound pads and Ti nuts for swag
Hard anodized G-Sport rim

By far the best setup I've ever ridden.

Agreed!

Also making sure all cables and hardware are dialed in. Right now I am using the stock pads that came with my Evo 2s and they grab decent. But I am also using the heavy duty springs and set my brakes too grab right away with no feathering.

My setup:
Primo One Bolt brake lever
Snafu Astroglide upper cable
Snafu top late
Odyssey GTX-S detangler
Snafu dual lower cable
Odyssey london mod
Odyssey Evo 2s

Springfield's
Ghost pads
Monolever
Quick slic

I like having brakes sometimes (trails) and not others (the rest of the time). My setup comes off my bike, or goes back on in like 5 minutes.

My setup is:

Odyssey monolever small
Odyssey Evo2 brakes
Odyssey slim by 4 pads in gum
Kink linear cable
Spoke mod for stiffer more even pull

I'm on the vital legit list!
